This review is for two things. The space itself and the intensives that take place on Saturday afternoons.

I have been studying and performing improv for 10 years now with various groups. I have taken a few intensives at Shore Thing Theater. Ria's passion and knowledge of improv as an art form flows out of her as she teaches. Whether you are a 101 student looking to brush up on a technique before their next class or a veteran honing a weak point in their skillset, the intensive classes are a great place to do so. I highly recommend classes at the Shore Thing Theater.

Our improv troupe (Asbury Park Improv and Sketch) uses Shore Thing Theater as a rehearsal space. The space is very nice and we are always able to get in on time. I can’t believe I didn’t know about Comedy Sportz until this week! What a fun evening! My husband and I brought our 10 and 15 year old sons and all 4 of us laughed, smiled and had a great time. We are planning which friends to bring with us next time.

We weren’t sure what to expect other than an improv comedy show. The show was made up of a referee and 2 teams of comedians. They competed for improv challenges and the audience applause determines the winners. Audience participation is engaging and pleasant.

ComedySportz Jersey Shore is a fun family friendly improv show. It's a great team vs team format with a ref that keeps it going and calls the fouls (absurdly many comedy fouls!). Lots of audience suggestions and a few opportunities to even volunteer on stage. Great fun, great price, great location. All family friendly and clean, no dirty jokes, politics, etc. For a price comparable to movie tickets, you get a live show that is fun, intriguing, and interactive.
