The food is simple but good. The is only one thing I didn't like about the place is the fact that if you are disabled like me, and can't sit in a regular chair, the only place to sit is at the counter, which you must share with a cash register if you sit on the left side, with people crowding around you while you eat to pay for their meals. The right side was not available because someone was sitting on the stool in the middle, and I couldn't slip around them to sit in the corner. While I tried to eat my food in peace, a waitress stood in front of me, hovering, and I felt like she was an uninvited guest at my table. She was sick that day, and I left the restaurant with the flu, which I'm still trying to get over now. I now have bronchitis from all of that. I wish she would have stayed home.
Also, when I went to wash my hands before I ate, I had to leave the door open in the restroom as I used the sink because the space was so tiny, and the waitress in question walked in and looked around right after I sat back down. What was up with that??
Will I go back? Maybe, but I plan to be rude to that waitress if she hangs around me or my plate again. They seemed friendly enough, but I just wanted breakfast. Not a great place to go if you don't fit their cookie cutter ideas. Why do I say that?
I asked for coffee, but half caff. I understand that they have regular and decaf, but I had to ask for that...a half cup of regular and a half cup of decaf makes half caff. It took a second to register in the waitress' mind, she complied.
I asked for a scrambled egg, hash browns, and a half order of French toast. The waitress said, well, that doesn't have any meat. I replied that I don't eat meat, and that was fine with me.
When I walked in, some random guy at a table asked me if I was training to ride a Harley, hahaha. So funny, cuz I was riding an electric scooter.
If you are riding in a car, are not disabled, and eat beef and pork, you should be fine. Otherwise, you might be uncomfortable with the attitudes of the regulars here. It's definitely an "old-school" place, which is funny, cuz I'm old-school and did not feel like it was a place for me. I felt like I walked into a club, and everyone knew I...
Read moreWalking into this hole in the wall is like walking into your mom's house to grab a bite. This is the kind of place you walk in and have a conversation as a whole with everyone in the room. Besides the atmosphere, the food is some of the best. My favorite is coming here for a brunch and ordering something from their breakfast menu. The portions are huge and the food is always amazing. Try the Denoyer with some green peppers and onions added in and always remember to add a chocolate chip pancake....
