I would not recommend anyone who is looking for a custom built PC Tower for either Gaming or Editing purposes to buy from here. I've bought two separate "Custom Built Towers from here" both of which costs me over 1,000$. The first one lasted me 3 years before taking a crap, me not knowing much about computers, I trusted Comp-U-Save and brought it to them in which I was told it wasn't worth the money to fix and I'd be better off getting a new Computer Tower all together which I did.
It has been less than a year and my new tower stopped working one day. I came into my office to see that the Tower had shut itself off randomly and was frozen on the Asus Booting Up Screen. I tried restarting it, resetting it, unplugging everything, nothing worked. It would boot up like normal and just freeze in the booting up screen. I decided to take it to a local shop who had amazing reviews near me and had him take a look. I come to find my out my Tower's RAM, Power Supply, Hard drive, GPU, and Motherboard were completely fried.
Now mind you, I only use this computer for editing and it's in my office which is locked at all times when I'm not in there so it was nothing of my fault. Well I come to find out Comp-U-Save sold me 300$ worth of parts in this "Custom Built Tower" for 1,200$ completely taking advantage of my lack of knowledge about the product. The person who was looking at my tower also said that they used the cheapest possible parts and that my computer was basically on the same level of using an XBOX to edit.
The power supply they gave me was also insufficient and got fried so bad it actually was welded to the back of the computer and he had to pry it off. On top of that my hard drive was completely fried as well making me lose everything I had on the Computer. Luckily I always make sure to have an external drive.
I would recommend buying from a trusted online or local seller of custom built computers who won't knowingly scam you. I hope this is helpful. I now am out 1,200$ for a 300$ piece of junk and now am having to spend another 1,500$ to get a real fully custom built...
Read moreFirst, I didn't make a purchase, so I can't speak to that. However, I stopped in because my laptop isn't acting right. Long story short, they listened to the problem, what I've done so far to attempt to resolve it, and advised me they would only do what I've already done, so they didn't want to take my money for a diagnosis the same as what I've already done. They quoted me the price of a new motherboard (as that was the next step in the troubleshooting process), and we both agreed it would be more effective to get a new computer. He took me their refurbished ones and suggested a couple models. He took plenty of time to answer my questions, hear my concerns, and discuss them with me. There was never any pressure. They don't work off commissions, and he had good answers to all my questions.
I didn't buy. I walked in prepared to leave my laptop for repairs and wasn't in the mindset to purchase a replacement, but they didn't treat me any differently. I would definitely go back, and intend to purchase my replacement from them when I'm ready.
Their prices on new computers and repairs are competitive, and they have a pretty good selection of refurbished laptops that is definitely worth...
Read moreI have years of experience building computers myself. I ordered the parts for a new build and found myself defeated. I was doing a small form factor build for transport reasons.
The cases was very small (Hyte Revolt 3) and I simply could not deal with the cable management and make everything fit.
Tom to the rescue. He made it happen - I took it into them and pay a reasonable build fee and he did it!! It is still running and not overheating or dying.
From someone how has built computers over there years (probably 6 in all) - Tom and team are the pros. They have the experience, skills and tools to handle your situation. If they could handle mine which was a level 10/10 in challange they can handle...
