Burritos California is definitely one of them hole in the wall joints you'd end up passing right up if you blinked while passing thru Brainerd. Not really much signage outside except for a couple pictures covering the window, but if you happen to stop, you'll be leaving with a swamped out belly for sure! The place is setup like a chipotle/Qdoba with the options laid out in front of you, but it's definitely more authentic then any middle of the mall style Chipotle or Qdoba joint. I opted for the shredded chicken this go round, the chicken was tender and had good flavor being mixed with peppers. The Spanish rice was decent. I will say I opted for the hottest sauce they had in the jernt and it didn't have much kick to this gringo..... They could definitely step up the hot sauce. But all in all a damn decent burrito for just over $11 out the door. I'll stop in Burrito California to crave my burrito addiction every time I pass...

I had their food back in September, wanting to try a new place I hadn't been to before. I already love Mexican food, but I was craving it. I would say this place is quite good, with quality food and a menu that isn't too complicated. The burrito I had was exactly what I wanted, except for one small thing. The wrap had a very crunchy, hard exterior on one side that was difficult to bite through, which I ripped off. That was my only pet peeve, and caught me off guard while I was enjoying my burrito. Other than that, I would recommend it. Their guacamole, from what I can remember, was flavorful (guacamole should never not be flavorful), so they get extra points for that. Plus, they had kind staff. Good job,...

This place was amazing! We searched on our route for restaurants and Google didn't populate this place. As highly rated as it is I don't understand why. I just saw the blue sign and thought we'd give it a try. I can tell you this though! You need to stop here! I had a shredded chicken quesadilla. My companion had a burrito. Both of us loved the food. Plenty of choices for ingredients. Everything fresh and oh so tasty! Really fast to get your food too. I noticed that fellow diners were not speaking to each other. Everyone was too busy eating. That's a good sign. I will be back and...

Absolutely hands down the best stop in town for authentic food that isn’t fast food. Wow! This place gives you every cent of the dollars you spend here. 5 stars without hesitation. Clean location from the tables you sit, the food line, and even the bathrooms. I will be a repeat customer for as long as this location is open.

I like to stop at small, local restaurants for lunch on my travels throughout Minnesota. This place gets an A+ from me. Fresh ingredients, large portion, authentic flavors. I had a heaping burrito bowl and a Jarritos for about $14. Very filling. The red salsa has some good heat! 100% recommended.
