Longley's, formerly Allegra's, was a disappointment. When we arrived there was no staff member around to greet us. The bartender looked at us but never waved, said hello or came over to help. After several minutes, someone finally came over and told us we could pick where we wanted to sit in the dining room but it could not be a "big" table. Mind you there was only one other table seated and of course we ended up right next to them because that is where the "small" tables were.
Our waitress was friendly but service was slow. For food, we ordered the nachos supreme and pretzels to start. The nachos had half the cheese that was melted and the rest was straight out of the bag. They forgot our chicken we asked for as well. The pretzels were good though. For meals, I ordered the chicken Italiano wrap with well done fries. The chicken was dry and the fries were so well done they were inedible. My husband ordered the steak and cheese panini with tots. He enjoyed his sandwich but the tots tasted like they were straight out of the bag, no seasoning and had freezer burn.
I can't say we would be quick to come back based on this experience and how expensive eating out is these days. We want a meal...
Read moreI'm deeply disappointed by the unpleasant and frustrating experience my husband and I had at this establishment. We decided to try it out based on a friend's recommendation, but upon arrival, we weren't acknowledged . I initially didn't take offense, considering it was a busy Thursday night. We then proceeded to the bar, where the bartender also failed to acknowledge us. While this didn't bother us at first, we couldn't help but notice that a white couple who arrived after us was immediately served. It's now 2023, and no establishment should make people feel uncomfortable or discriminated against due to their skin tone. We decided to leave at this point, and I'm committed to sharing our experience to ensure others don't face similar situations. If I could rate this place with zero stars, I certainly would. We said nothing and walked away because we didn't want to be stereotyped as “Angry Black People”. This experience is deeply discomforting, and it's hard to wash away this bad taste from our mouths. Simple gestures like "I'll be with you in a minute" go a long way in ensuring all customers feel valued...
