Nicky V’s Beef, Dogs, and Food Trucks Oak Forest — Restaurant in Bremen Township

Most of the food is very good, location is good, and owner is very nice. But they have a sign on the marquis praising there french fries as being the best and actually, they are the worst french fries I ever had and I am over 50 years old. French fries should not be brown with dried grease. I always eat everything I buy from any restaurant I eat at, but I have to throw out 30% of these fries, which upsets me. Then why do I order the fries, you ask? I don't. Unfortunately these terrible fries come with every hot dog, polish sausage, etc. and they are build into the cost you pay. I know I am only one vote, but if my stomach could count as a second vote, the fries made me sick the last time I ate them and my stomach votes no too. I had been coming here for over 20 years with three different owners. Each owner was great, but these fries suck. Best items in my opinion are either the breaded steak or grilled steak sandwiches. Nicky V's in Oak Forest is a sad excuse for a Chicago Hot Dog Joint. The food is absolutely disgusting and unedible. I have been put off by this place before and stopped going but eventually go back because my wife likes them, but I will never go there again.

They keep raising their prices but the food never improves and actually shrinks and stinks.The food smelled so bad in the car driving home I nearly gagged and had to open the window even though I had the AC on.

I had two chili dogs and they were the smallest hot dogs I had ever seen. Every time I order I request they cook the fries well done and crispy and they are incapable of doing that. You get wet limp soggy fries that are disgusting; and I believe the restaurant and the food smells so bad because they never change the cooking oil. After a few bites I was repulsed and threw the meal away.

There are so many great Chicago Hot Dog Joints so avoid this one...

Have been going here for years. Seen it through different owners. I could be wrong but I don’t remember every hot dog gets a fry. For me it’s a waste of money to pay for something I don’t want. If a family of 3 gets 2 hot dogs each I really don’t think they need 6 bags of fries. We can get by on 1 bag, thank you. That would be my only complaint. Other than that they updated the inside and I think it looks great. I think they will miss some beautiful breezes from the door they got rid of.
