If you’re local, you must try The Metcantile Bremen! So good! Quality ingredients from scratch! One of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had! All the deserts are amazing! Go check them out! 10/10 #shoplocal #foodreview #bremenga #christytravels

I cannot say enough good things about The Mercantile! The two men who own it came from the Big Bear Mercantile in Tallapoosa, and they’ve done a fantastic job here. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—inviting and cozy with a country charm, yet modern and fresh at the same time. I had the Ham & Brie sandwich with a side salad, while my partner enjoyed the Monte Cristo with pasta salad. We also started with the crab cake appetizer—absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with flavor and really hit that sweet spot between upscale dining and a laid-back place where you can just relax and sip a mimosa. Overall, it was a 5/5 experience. I highly recommend stopping in—you’ll be glad you did!

I am so glad I found this little restaurant. I had lunch there and had a chicken sandwich with a side of corn chowder. Both were fantastic, but I was absolutely blown away by the corn chowder! I’ve got a nice selection of merchandise and a comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

The Mercantile (in Bremen, Georgia) is a gem of a cafe, eatery, and gift shop. To the best of my knowledge, The Mercantile has just opened (less than two weeks). This place elevates simple dining experience to new heights (we went for breakfast) with great food, outstanding service, and a unique atmosphere.

The moment you step inside you get greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The people and the place make you feel that you have been there just yesterday. The place feels familiar, welcoming and comfortable. The menu is a culinary mix of classic breakfast staples with creative twists. The French toast was great, and so were/are the variety of quiches. I tried the Monte Cristo and was artistically prepared and delicious, and I hear the crab cake was also exceptional. The coffee deserves its own review, brewed with care and to perfection. Service was impeccable; our server was attentive without being intrusive, and the food arrived promptly. You place your order cafe style at the counter as you walk in. I should also mention there were outdoor seating available - this is something I wish to see more restaurants provide here in Georgia.

We will be there again as I highly recommend The Mercantile for your...

Wow, this place is so amazing! I used to shop at the Tallapoosa location for gifts and was SO pleased to see them in Bremen now with food! My friend and I went for lunch and the salmon salad was amazing. Literally the best coconut cake I've ever had. It tasted like a beach vacation. ☺️ This place feels very elevated but the owners and staff also greet you with small town charm. So grateful...
