We were just knocking around the west Georgia area today, started at a community yard sale, went to a little craft festival and then we got hungry. So we googled places near us and this spot looked like our kind of eatery. All things considered, the beer tap selection is pretty nice! We had a couple IPA's and Kimberly ordered the Blue Devil Smash burger, and I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (grilled) and we both got sidewinder fries. I haven't ever heard of a half pound smash burger before, and honestly I think I'd just call it a hamburger, but it was tasty enough. My chicken sammie (pictured) has plenty of heat and was just what I wanted. I really liked the fries! The space is clean, neat, and tastefully decorated. The staff was appropriately attentive and friendly. If I lived a little bit closer to Bremen, I think this would be a spot we'd visit regularly.

the service and the atmosphere was great! it’s a cute restaurant with patient and kind workers but the food was awful. i ordered the alfredo pasta with a side salad and rolls. the pasta sauce was as thick as water and had no flavor at all. literally none. i added some red pepper flakes so i could try and eat my $10 pasta from a box and can.. but it was un-eatable. the salad had barely enough dressing to cover the lettuce. my friend ordered pasta with marinara and she said “it tastes like a can of marianna plopped on noodles without any spices”.. NOT TO MENTION everything was served on plastic plates from target. i understand that maybe we didn’t order the “best dish they offer” but every dish should at least be eatable. this was my first trip to bremen with a friend, hopefully the restaurant improves by my next visit.

Alex and her crew are WONDERFUL! After a few (months) times of her coming into my work and recommending, I finally stopped by! The atmosphere was awesome. I loved the wood and stone image that they're going for. The food was amazing! I got fried okra and the wife got fried pickles. We both loved our appetizers! Then we got the bbq chicken tenders which was amazing. The chicken fell apart as we picked it up with our forks! Then we got the brownie with ice cream on top...the brownie was so soft that the spook felt like it didn't even touch anything but the skillet at the bottom. Amazing. I will be coming back because it was a great ambiance as well as the food!

Updating on 11-16-2024 We've been coming here for a couple of years used to come every other week, then the service started to be not as good, and the food quality and taste dropped, so we started coming less and less. We came back this evening for our anniversary and everything has just declined so badly I had to change my review.

First it took a long time to get my drink it was a just a Moscow Mule, and there weren't many people in the place, so I wouldn't have expected it to take as long as it did. Then we got our appetizers they were good, but we had to ask for napkins, and we didn't get any plates to go along with them.

We ordered our food a kids pizza, kids Pasta Alfredo, and my wife and I were sharing a smash burger medium with onion rings. The kids pizza came out first (since they opened the pizza side they've had a problem getting the food out together). The pizza was piping hot, as it should be. We had to wait about 5 minutes and then our burger came out. It wasn't the smash burger it was just a regular burger no condiments, and at this time we were told the Alfredo sauce was still being made. The waitress left before we could ask for silverware and when I divided the onion rings they weren't hot. About 4 minutes later the Pasta Alfredo came out, and we asked for silverware and condiments While we were waiting for the silverware my daughter was going to eat the garlic knot that came with her pasta, and it was cold. Not it had been sitting waiting to come to the table cold like our onion rings and burger, but just out of the fridge cold. When the waitress came back she said they were out of silverware so we had to use plastic ware. When I cut the burger in half it was definitely well done not medium. We decided not to complain about anything, and just eat the food deciding that we would likely not come back. Then after we had eaten a little bit the waitress came back and said she was going to leave the check. I had had everything intention of ordering another drink, but not anymore.

We just paid our bill and left. It really makes me sad to see the decline of this local restaurant we used to always enjoy going there, but I just don't see us going back and paying for over priced not good food. We recently just moved to Bremen, and we were looking for some place local that we can start visiting, and boy did we find that place! Everything about The Grill Downtown was fantastic!

We sat at the bar, and the young woman serving us was amazing. She made great drinks, and when it came time to order food she made the perfect suggestions. The food was superb, and we definitely over ordered, but the food was great even as leftovers!

I look forward to going back for...

Worst experience that I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Was seated and sat there for at least 30 to 45 waiting on our drinks because the bar tender was blowing kisses at the owner instead of making drinks. Then waited forever for our food for it to come out cold and dried out. Then the manager came to speak to us and told us that “she didn’t care if we came back or not” her words!! That the bar tender was her best friend and roommate and she was gonna defend her no matter what. And we were only expressing our concerns about her not doing her job and blowing kisses at the owner instead. Then the manager walks up to the owner and tells him and he laughed. It’s a piss poor running business. This isn’t the first time that I have had a bad experience at this same restaurant but wanted to give them a second chance. Never again. And not to mention that the owner just sits at the bar and constantly drinks. He don’t care about the customers at all.

First of all, you “the so called manager” was not nice at all. You came to our table with an attitude. Then went to the owner for him just to laugh about it. All you cared about is how the bartender was your best friend and roommate and you were going to defend her no matter what. I never once seen you walking around checking on guest or explaining anything to anyone. Maybe if the owner would stop drinking and flirting with the staff, then maybe he can pay more attention to his customers and make sure their taken care of instead of just sitting at the bar drinking and flirting. The bartender then proceeded to be rude and turn and wave at our table after you went to her. You are kids that shouldn’t be allowed to manage or bartend. And as far as the place being busy, not at all. There are two grocery store just down the street that the owner or you (the manager) could’ve went to and get hamburger meat, steaks, ect… But Don’t worry, we won’t be back. And we have talked to many people around Bremen since this disturbing visit and they claim that The Grill is not a good place to go to and have a good meal or drink. Better off going to McDonalds. No need to respond. I gave the best review that this place deserves. And that’s just because I had to give at least 1* to be able to give the review. Have...

Went for the first time with my in-laws. Right from the rip we sat for nearly 20 minutes before our waitress took our drink order (& we ordered an app). Took almost another 20 minutes for our drinks to come back. I figured she would bring the app & drinks together & that was why it was taking so long. NOPE. Once she brought the drinks (mind you we have been here nearly 40 mins at this point) she immediately left & didn’t ask if we were ready to order. Took forever to come back & take our orders. While waiting for our food, she never came back to ask for refills. When the food finally came out, all our food but my father in laws came. A runner came back & said she dropped the pizza & they would have to remake it, it would be 10 more minutes & they would comp 50% of our order since she dropped it. 10-15 minutes go by & our waitress finally comes over to check on us & ask if they told us about the dropped pizza (girl it’s been over 10 mins & you’re just now checking????) when she came we FINALLY got to get some refills. Another 15-20 mins go by & his pizza finally comes (everyone is done eating & he finally received his pizza, first quote 10 mins took actually 30). The waitress then tell him, she’s actually only taking his pizza off (not the 50% off the whole order lol) he’s so over it, we’re all done. He just gets the pizza to go & ask for the bill. Would you believe it then took a WHILE to get the ticket lol. She came in the dining room 5 times, brought others their tickets, & we were still waiting. Terrrrible first experience to say the least. I’m not sure if management is even aware of the lack of customer service/serving skills or if they simply do not care....
