Well…our first clue should have been the smell of a bowling alley when we walked in and the next should have been the one person sitting at the bar when we came in at lunch time. We had waited for over an hour for our food when the bartender clued us in they were having problems with the pizza oven. The only other table there the whole time we were there was a table of children, we could only assume to be an employees children, as there were no adults sitting at the table and the bartender, the person sitting at the bar, and eventually two others we assume to be staff came in and surrounded them. After about an hour and 15 minutes we got our food. One of the pizzas was like soup, the other was completely raw in the middle with only the outer edge being cooked, yet both still served. The other four of us got smash burgers, they were ok but the fact that we sat there so long for smash burgers and raw pizza overshadowed any positivity we could have found in our first and LAST visit to this place.
Update: The children being in the restaurant and the fact that your establishment is family friendly has zero relevance to my review. We are all parents and grandparents that were there. The fact that was the only other table was the point…and the staff surrounded the table most of the time they were there, which is where my assumption of a staff members family and not actual customers, we did not see an adult sitting at the table (not to say there wasn’t). Doesn’t really matter, just the point that maybe we should have checked the other reviews before deciding to go there because you all proved them to be valid. Thanks for...
Read moreMad Kat was the older brother to look up to. The bar was set very high by Steve, Kat and staff. Macks, well I give them 2 weeks to close. We walked in at 545 on a Saturday. The lack of of people should have been our sign to turn around. Upon entry, we were met by drab gray walls, everywhere. No decor. The menus, so poorly printed I needed to engage my phone flashlight to read the faded print. I was very clear that my grilled chicken sandwich could not have the tomatoe due to severe allergy. My husband ordered chili and cornbread. After about 20 mins, he was told no more cornbread. Another 20 mins later, a very small chicken sandwich arrived, complete with tomatoe. It was the smallest piece of chicken on the smallest roll, for 16$. It was sent back due to allergy. They wasted their own food not paying attention to details.
The chili. Well it was not chili by any definition. It was vegetable soup. The waitress looked embarrassed handing it over. I have never seen such a sad poor presentation. There was soup sloshed all over the bowl, which was about 1 inch of contents to a 3 inch deep bowl. And covered in cheese that was already unmelted, like melted but rehardening. See photo for a 16$ bowl of disappointment. We have never in our years had such a terrible experience.

Mack's offers a fantastic experience all around. The restaurant is always impeccably clean and has a fresh but casual vibe. The menu is outstanding - you absolutely HAVE to try the chicken wings (bone-in or boneless), hand cut Russet potato fries, and Mini Mack's - fried mac and cheese bites (dipped in honey mustard, they're a game changer!). The kitchen staff clearly takes pride in their work, as every dish is top-notch.
Collette, the star ⭐ bartender, makes a legendary Bloody Mary (or Maria!). I also love their range of events, catering to everyone - we've enjoyed kid-friendly local wrestling shows or for a night out with friends, I enjoy Dingo's DJ sessions like 90s vs. 2000s hip hop nights or his famous Maximum Karaoke is a blast!
Highly recommend Mack's for...
