This is Smokey's BBQ second day open in brewer and there was a line to the door when I got there at open. We ordered the unhealthy marriage and the angry bird with a side of Mac and cheese. I am very excited to have local access to authentic bbq. It was so delicious. Smoked juicy meats and very flavorful. Absolutely loved the coleslaw and Mac and cheese and I am picky about those two things. They got their flavors down 100%. I have no doubts they will grow an amazing business here. It is a small and cozy place. They do have some tables and barstools with counter options if u would like to dine in as well. I look forward to going back many times to try all the delicious options. I just want to update to say i pre ordered a smoked turkey this thanksgiving with their homeade gravy and it was the best turkey and gravy I have had in my entire life. Definitely don't miss out when they offer this option. You won't be...
Read moreI’ve debated whether or not to leave a positive review simply because the food nearly brought me to tears and I don’t want them to ever run out of food. Simply the best barbecue north of the Carolina’s, and even then it’s a very close competition. The food was very reasonably priced, 14 bucks for a sandwich that filled me up no problem and while you might scoff at the 7 dollar mac, you just need to try it to understand. I’ve seen some reviews say some of the meat was a little dry but I had no such issues, and if you do, the sauces they make are very good. The service was awesome, incredibly friendly staff. The only downside was that it’s a small building in brewer that got hot pretty fast (although that might’ve just been the meat sweats), which was more than made up for in the music. If it were acceptable I would’ve kissed everyone that worked there. I feel like a better...
Read moreThe food was good, but the prices for the portions are out of control. $7 for a small deli container of Mac and cheese is crazy. For a $10 sandwich we expected something larger than a single brioche bun - and that doesn't include fries or chips etc, sandwich only. And $5 for a package of what was (while delicious) crumbled up corn bread. All in all, if you're a hipster foodie who doesn't mind the price, you'll be very happy. If you're an average person or family looking for an affordable dinner out, don't waste your money. We spent nearly $40, which at many other excellent places would have filled us both with leftovers to boot, it's not an affordable option. Also wasn't super impressed with being left on hold for over 10 minutes while listening to him catch up with a buddy - I finally hung up and called back a few minutes...
