East of Chicago Pizza of Bridgeport — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I have ordered twice. Both times I have ordered a sub and fries. First time was an Italian sub. Was not impressed with it. There is one layer of each meat and you can't even taste it. There's more lettuce and tomatoes than meat so its like your eating a vegetarian sub. Fries were good, not the best but good. This tine I ordered the BLT sub and the Chicago fries. The fries again were ok. Not worth $10 though. The cheese and bacon was all in the middle of the fries and there wasn't very much. Again though they're ok. Pizza dough taste like a better version of Pizza Hut. The sauce and toppings were good. The exceptional part of our experience was the pizza delivery driver. He was polite and the pizza arrived quickly and hot. The pizza itself was good not great and certainly does not align with the price charged. For the money there are significantly better pizzas in the area. If your simply craving pizza and need a place that has a decent delivery area this is it. We ordered online close to closing, and as much as I hate doing that, sometimes it’s unavoidable. We’d never tried East of Chicago pizza before and had a coupon, so we did a quick order and tried to get there as soon as it was done. I never expect good quality food or even the friendliest customer service when it’s close to closing (and I don’t blame them) but our pizza was legit the best pizza I’ve ever had. The cashier was super nice, and didn’t seem even slightly annoyed at the late order. 10/10...
