As someone who had to start a gluten free diet last year from an autoimmune disease, when I found out this cafe opened a couple of miles from me I was ecstatic. I went this morning during their soft launch and although the menu didn’t advertise gluten free bread for sandwiches, they did have it available. I’m not celiac so I didn’t ask about cross contamination or cooking surfaces, and it hasn’t been 24 hours yet which is when I would get symptoms of gluten, but so far I will say the food is the best gluten free breakfast food I’ve had to date. The gluten free bread seems to be homemade - it’s so good I questioned for a minute if it was actually gluten free. The muffins were amazing as well. They were still warm from just coming out of the oven. The guy working at the counter was super helpful and friendly and I could see a few people cooking out back who I think were the owners. It means the WORLD to people like me who are forced into eating gluten free after decades of eating gluten containing foods that there are good quality options in the area. Everything was super fresh and I’m guessing the owner is a baker by how fresh and high quality the bread and baked goods were. The atmosphere was also super cute with a comfy couch and a little tic tac toe set. Thank you to the owners for caring about us GF folks! Can’t wait...
Read moreLoved our experience here! The owners were so kind, knowledgable of their product, passionate & generous! Loved being able to enjoy vegan, gluten free pastries! Chris even showed me the ingredient booklet he had behind the counter and as someone who really goes out of my way to avoid certain ingredients, this was SO appreciated !! We chilled here basically the whole day, had coffee (with HOME MADE cashew milk!!! are you kidding me! NO ONE does that! THANK YOU!!) and a brownie, then a breakfast acai bowl, avo toast on gf bread -which was actually good compared to othe gf breads I've had- and then continued with lunch of a roasted veg bowl and a chickpea tuna sandwich. The vibe was sooo relaxing and cute. And happy plants say a lot about a space! I saw many grateful customers come in and out throughout the day. I never felt cramped or like I was taking up space from someone else while working on my laptop. Chris brought out a few things for us to sample throughout our stay here as well and that really makes them stand out! They actually cared about our experience. We don't frequent this area, but we are going to have to come back for a special trip just to say hello again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !! Thank you guys so...
Read moreThis is a little gem of a place. Freshly made to order (which makes for a little wait) sandwiches, toasts, bowls, and specialty hot and iced drinks. They also have a nice selection of gluten-free and regular baked goods. I've only had sandwiches and toasts and all have been excellent and surprising. Today I had a mushroom and pickled onion toast that was extremely delicious, fresh and very flavorful. The vegetarian sandwiches I've had are outstanding (they do great things with chickpeas). There are also more conventional options like a BLT and a variation on a turkey club that are very good. It's a small place but comfortable seating and nice light, with a couple of tables for two outside. They also have a small selection of locally-made jewelry and gifts. Friendly, warm service. Very much worth a visit. Glad they're here in Bridgewater and only wish they were in walking distance from the town center so I could...
