I don't normally write reviews however, today my review for The Chatta Box is for the phenomenal service that I received when ordering take-out from (within the restaurant) a courteous, gentleman who is very knowledgeable about the menu. He suggested I try the Honey Sesame Chicken, over the fried chicken I initially ordered, which is an absolute favorite among their regulars.
When I came back to pick up my food, he got together my bag and hand delivered it to me and also added a mango salad for me to try, assuring that I would enjoy it and I did.
I understand why the Honey Sesame Chicken in a big seller among their regulars. It is coated in cornstard/flour before it is deep fried making giving it texture despite being slathered in some mouth-watering delicious honey, sesame sauce.
My son ordered the Teriyaki Beef box that comes with a small salad, side of rice, and a miso soup. He also ordered a Vegetable Tempura and Kalbi Ribs for our apps. The Teriyaki Beef and the Kalbi Ribs was a bit dry, as it seems they spent more time on the grill than they should have. In conclusion, the flavors were good.
My review was more about the service I received rather than the food. So thank you for that. And to those of you who complain about pricing, remember that the food cost is a reflection of everything it cost to run it, including labor, utilities, to-go containers, utensils, equipment, and lets not forget inflation has made just about everything expensive. If it seems pricey, learn how to cook...
Read moreThe Chatta Box does Korean,Thai, Japanese & Malaysian dishes. They have been family ordered for over 20 years. They are considered the best for Asian Cuisine in Bridgewater for a reason.
We started off with shrimp in a blanket, coconut shrimp tempura , Chatta box crab rangoon, & Korean Short rib.
Chattabox crab Rangoon was not like your typical Chinese restaurant crab rangoon. The filling was nice and creamy. The wrapping was crispy and soft. Every crab rangoon was really good.
Shrimp in a blanket and coconut shrimp tempura were fresh and tasty. The coconut shrimp tempura was my favorite of the two. It was crispy and had a light dusting of coconut.
Korean Short rib was chewy, but full of Smokey Korean marinade.
For our main dish: we got the Thai Gra Pao & Chiang Mai Pad Thai
Thai Gra Pao came with ground beef. It was so much flavor and had a nice spicy smell to it .
Chiang Mai Pad Thai was their take on pad Thai. It did not disappoint. The was full of flavor and plenty of proteins.
Dessert: Japanese Cheesecake
Japanese cheesecake was served warm. It was fluffy and sweet. Every bite was so satisfying.
Every thing was fantastic and a must try for yourself. Pricy is decent for the quality that you...
Read moreThis was our first time at this location, and it was absolutely packed — always a good sign. The moment we walked in, the aroma of the food was incredible and set the tone for the night.
We started with a couple of drinks: I ordered the Scorpion, which leaned a little sweet but was still very tasty, while my wife had a Cosmopolitan that was perfectly balanced.
For appetizers, we tried the steamed pork dumplings, crab Rangoon, and coconut chicken tenders. The dumplings were excellent — tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering again. The crab Rangoon were light, crispy, and delicious, easily a must-try dish here. The only miss for us was the coconut chicken tenders; they were a bit bland, tasting more like plain chicken topped with coconut flakes than a fully flavored dish.
For the main course, I had the chicken Pad Thai, and it was outstanding — one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly cooked noodles, balanced flavors, and generous portions made it a standout.
Overall, this spot delivered great food, strong drinks, and an energetic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back, especially for the dumplings, crab Rangoon,...
