$147…for what?.. Almost every plate we ordered had something wrong with it or wasn’t made to order. We ordered a gold fever sandwich with no blue cheese but substitute with ranch and extra ranch. We got blue cheese and no ranch. Ordered a goldfever wrap as is and it was good. Lots of blue cheese crumbles but I like that. Ordered Hot pastrami with mayo mustard (they didn’t carry provolone) got pastrami plain with no condiments on it at all. Ordered a turkey gobbler like wrap and it was good. Ordered a tuna blt and got a sandwich that I believe was old tuna and half jar of mayo. Had to throw away the tuna because of the smell. Asked for a “where’s the beef sandwich “ they didn’t have it anymore. The appetizer was halfway decent. Nachos supreme was good. The sampler is $21 and it’s advertised as serves 2 hungry people and ya it would if it were two toddlers and one of them was sleeping. Menu says “ask about our deserts” so we did. The response was “ we don’t have any” . My bill was $137. I picked it up and paid by card and gave a $10 tip. Environment looked friendly and comfortable but very disappointed in the food. Unreal..

Unfortunately over the past years I've had mixed emotions about the Riviera Cafe. For years I was going there to watch the live bands and to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. But on numerous occasions especially when the singer of a visiting band was of African-American persuasion... I found that the some of the more rowdy patrons single throw around bigoted comments about African Americans and people of Spanish heritage. On one occasion led to an actual physical confrontation between myself and two members of this racist group of heavy. So despite all the good intentions and decent food and phenomenal beer selection the some of the clientele leaves a lot to be desired.

Had a late lunch at The Riviera Cafe' in Bridgewater (aka The Riv). Our sandwiches were a delicious Tuna Melt w/fries, Reuben w/onion rings (corned beef was really tasty, very lean and grilled perfectly) and the Massachusetts Slammer (piled extremely high turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce) w/fries. The sandwiches came out hot off the grill and we all commented on how delicious and hot it all was. Our server Ariana was not only friendly and very pleasant she was also knowledgeable on their beer selection and food questions we had. She worked very hard at serving and also helping working the bar. This is a great place and I would highly recommend giving it try.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. From start to finish, everything was a disaster. The food was terrible, and the service was atrocious. Beer is ok. But what really stood out to me was the discriminatory and offensive behavior of some of the staff and customers. I been observing for a while, this wasn't my first time at this place. I still keep all my receipts!

First, I experienced some of the female crowd making derogatory and racist comments towards a single woman who was sitting at the bar by herself (myself). They felt humiliated by their hubbies attention, which it's not my problem! It was clear that the restaurant staff did not intervene or attempt to stop this behavior, which made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. For obvious reasons I pulled out my camera on selfie mode to protect myself. They were terrified by me recording how they were treating me to the point they forced me to pay, otherwise they'll call the police, so I decided to wait for them myself. Police didn't investigate nothing, just handed over a no trespassing notice. Everything it's so obvious here!

Furthermore, the owner of the restaurant seemed to be more concerned with catering to the needs of his friends than ensuring his customers had a good experience. I witnessed him being very unprofessional and unethical towards other customers who had complaints about their food or service.

To make matters worse, I also confirmed on the reviews from other customers that this place and some of their staff have a history of racist comments towards Hispanic and afro-american, they perceive us unworthy to their ignorant ego. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in any establishment.

Overall, I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at this restaurant to think twice. The food is bad, the service is horrible, and the discriminatory behavior of some of the staff and customers is completely unacceptable. I hope the owner takes steps to address these issues and create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.

EDITION DUE TO OWNER'S REPLY: Actual facts are on the reviews, confirm it yourself!!! He says himself the staff knew the police were coming to remove me! (Without any preliminary investigation) Check the way this establishment's owner unprofessionally smashes patrons complaints. I'm glad all he have to aim it's my behavior at that specific day ( after several visits). It is obvious this gentleman doesn't even know what goes on in the place he's defending. He trust so much his elder frecuent crowd, and staff's friends acting like...

So, my girlfriend and I attempted to eat here after spotting it driving by. It was a Friday, late afternoon.

The inside had some light traffic at the bar, which we passed walking in. My girlfriend sat down while I used the restroom. I then joined her. There was one party in the dining area, and a decent number of people on the patio area. We chatted a bit, waiting. No one appeared.

No one had said anything to us, so I began to wonder if we came in through the exit or something - I walked out to the other side of the place to where the patio was, and saw no other entrance, so returned to our table. I mean I guess it was our table. There was no hostess, nor any sign indicating whether or not you should seat yourself, so who knows? The kid behind the bar and a waitress (one of two that appeared to be working) had seen us, but no one had come to the table or said a word - or even really acknowledged us non-verbally.

At this point, my girlfriend was browsing the menu on her phone - she'd looked it up herself, since there were none at the tables. We waited a few more minutes. When the waitresses casually strolled in, chatted briefly, and continued to ignore us, we decided to leave. Of course, no one spoke to us on the way out, either.

Just to drill this home, the place was NOT busy. This was pre-dinner rush - maybe 4:00, 4:30. This wasn't a case of a delay due to overworked staff, which happens and is understandable. The staff obviously did not care to deal with us for whatever reason, which I don't care to speculate on.

Consequently, I have no idea how the food is, but if the kitchen is a match for the rest of the staff, look out - they couldn't care less about you. I recommend going to a place where they can be bothered to...

I wish I could give it more stars but sadly my party of 4 did not get to try the food. We sat down to an empty dining room with one other party of 3 and 2 pple at the bar where a gentleman took our drinks then promptly brought them over. Then we bought 10games worth of keno and noticed another couple come in, get waited on, and then checked on by 2 other people in the span 10-15min as we were still waited to be waited on and put in our dinner order. 35 minutes went by 2 other tables had sat down and been waited on and we were able to play all 10 games of keno while this waitress and the gentleman that had served us drinks had walked by us several times. Not ONE person stopped to wonder why we still had menus sitting on our table after 35min of sitting there. Finally we got up and went down the street to the much better Barretts Ale House. When I approached the waitress to explain we were leaving because we had waited for 35min for no service her excuse was I'm sorry I didn't see you...We were literally 6ft away from her and she had looked right at us!!!!! No one stopped us to offer us anything to keep us there or make up for it. They can't even make the excuse it was busy, talk about incompetent staff/service. Needless to say we will never...
