Went for Easter and the food was very good, however, if we were advised the menu specifics in advance, we would have planned on eating elsewhere. We had 4:30 seating which we were sat timely. We had called in advance to see about a holiday set menu but the woman who answered said it would be a selection of their popular dishes and other specials. When we saw the menu, there were 3 appetizers included plus a selection of an entree (sides were a la carte). The selections were few, maybe 10 total. We were disappointed to see some staples weren’t available such as fried calamari, the deep fried mozzarella, etc. Before we ordered, we saw another table had fried calamari (which was not one of the 3 entrees on the set menu) so we were wondering if there were additional selections. The waitress came to take our order and we asked if the set menu was all we had to choose from and she said yes. Sure enough after our entrees came out, another table with fried calamari and even baked clams came out. Like I said, the food was very good but will not be back for a holiday. Don’t know if we got a bad server who didn’t know the selections/specials but was disappointed to see such a limited offering when other tables clearly got other options we were not told of or allowed to order. Didn’t seem worth it for the price and the food given. I also did not order a kids meal for my child because $21 was quite pricey for chicken fingers among 2 other selections. Rest of the staff was very attentive. Hoping to be back on a...

Always a great dining experience. We recently went with 8 people who all had something different. Hot, fresh bread with butter or oil with garlic cloves was immediately brought to the table. The cocktails were generous and flavorful. Appetizers were unique...escargot and calamari strips with 3 dipping sauces... and tasty. Minestrone soup was delicious. Entrees were very good from the basic chicken parmesan, tortolenni alfredo, filet mignon, grilled salmon, talapia livornese, veal saltimbucco to the specials like braised short ribs with ravioli stuffed with braised beef. Meals came with a side salad and most came with veggies. We couldn't decide on desserts, so we sampled the tartufo dream boat, strawberries zambione, tiramisu, and profiteroles. They were all good, but the profiteroles were exceptional. You definitely need reservations on a Saturday night. The noise level is a little high, but if you go later in the evening, the crowd does thin out. The piano player is entertaining; we sat a little too close and it was difficult to have a conversation with the whole table. Our waiter, Vinnie, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Overall, this is a must...

First rate Italian restaurant.

A family party of seven had dinner on a Thursday night at 8pm in late August 2022. The place was packed, but our table was ready for us at the promised time. There is an extensive menu, huge portions, and absolutely delicious food. Yes it was very noisy, but we had no problem talking. Our server Sheila was amazing. Everything came out nice and hot, and she was very attentive.

Definitely one of the better Italian restaurants we've been too, with very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend if you're down the Jersey Shore. Show less

Update July 2023 My wife and I had excellent food and service even though the place was packed on a Wednesday evening. Salmon carpaccio appetizer was terrific and was easily split in half to share.Veal Sorrento was wonderful. Sautéed spinach nicely prepared. Nice lemon sorbet and biscotti for dessert.

While the food is amazing, with generous portions and reasonable prices, this is not a place to come to for a quiet dinner or romantic evening. Also parking is very difficult. I recommend parking in Brielle Plaza, which is just one block away. Plenty of parking...

Brielle’s own hometown Italian restaurant that is beloved by the locals. The food is abundant and the place can get really loud due to locals who think everyone wants to hear their conversation. The fresh baked free bread is lovely. The olive oil supplied was ok. Sadly there wasn’t any roasted garlic given. The butter could be better softened for an even spread. My wife had the lobster ravioli with lump crab meat. It’s was good but the sauce suffered from a heavy hand of olive oil. My dish was the squid linguine with shrimp and lump crab and suffered the same fate, sauce swimming in oil. The bright fresh tomato topping was great. However the shrimp was a tad overcooked. Plenty of lump crab so the dish overall was good, not amazing. It’s disheartening because the food could be amazing if it wasn’t drowning in oil. I’m told that this is how typical Italian food is prepared. I’m not Italian so I can not attest to this common preparation. I can say that I’ve eaten at Vetri and La Mondina and did not encounter this.

Took my husband here for his birthday this weekend and everything was delicious! We’ve been coming here since 2020 and it’s never been a disappointment. Our waiter Alex was nothing short of amazing. Super friendly, attentive, professional, fast, and knowledgeable. For apps we ordered the shrimp cocktail app, and the fig special. The special had figs, goat cheese, toasted almonds, and balsamic glaze. 100% the best app I’ve ever had here. It was amazing! Dinner we got the chicken special & a salmon (we ate them too fast to snap pictures haha) For dessert we got one peanut butter and one pistachio tartufo. 10/10 recommend this restaurant always!
