Went out with my friend on a whim last night. She mentioned passing by this place the other day and wanted to check it out. Parking lot was packed when we got there but expected that - was easy to just park on the street. The vibe was nice when we entered, yes it was kinda crowded but we expected it to be since it was Saturday night. We go to the hostess stand to put our name in for a table and they said a 30 minute wait- honestly we thought it would be longer. The hostesses said while we wait we can go upstairs to the bar and they’d text when our table was ready. As soon as we got up the stairs, we found two seats along the railing - was the perfect view with the perfect breeze. Told my friend to wait with the seats to see if we could just take them - they were numbered for seating purposes. I asked the hostess and they said it would be fine and to order food we’d just have to go into the bar and order there and the food would be brought to us. PERFECT! We took our names off the seating list. Moving forward, I go to the bar order us some cocktails and proceed to enjoy ourselves. After an hour we decided we should probably order food. We looked at the menu on our phones, came up with the order and my friend went inside to grab another round of drinks and order the food. She came back out with our drinks and said the bartenders wouldn’t take our food order unless we were seated directly at the bar and that for service where we were we had to go back to the hostess stand to request a waiter. Fine, so my friend goes back downstairs, explains everything to hostess and then comes back up and tells me that they were too busy to send someone directly to us so we’d have to put our names in for a table and would now be a 45 minute wait. As we wait, we see many open tables and one in particular that is set up for two that has been open since we got there. We wait and wait and then we get the text for a table- we are then seated at the table that has been open for the entire 2hrs we’ve now been there. We order food- it was good but nothing spectacular. The food was priced fair for the atmosphere but the cocktails were pretty pricy, in fact 4 drinks cost more than our food bill. Granted I’m sitting at a marina surround by beautiful Viking Yachts - but I’m not drinking the cocktails on them so maybe ease up a bit on their pricing. I get it that it’s hard to find help these days but I felt like the whole time we were there, there were many employees just standing around when they could have been helping to make the flow better. I’ve worked in the tourist/service industry in Key West and understand short staffing and big crowds, but that’s when everyone pulls together, even if it’s not a part of their job, and make the flow better and to make better money. I felt there was a lot of miscommunication between the staff and a lot of room to make it work better. We probably will return, I always like to give a place with potential a second chance.

Can't wait to come back in the summer! Found this gem using google maps in the area and searching 'seafood.' The restaurant was difficult to find because it seemed that it's within/next to the Brielle Yacht Club. We had a fair bit of trouble finding parking although the restaurant was moderately busy, and we were curious how this works when there is incredible weather. Upon walking along the river, we had arrived at the restaurant! The outdoor dining space is huge, with multiple levels of tables! I provided a photo of the 'dock level' tables. There were several separate outdoor sections for dining; however, only the inside was open on the cold weather spring week night we arrived. The entrance to dine inside is one level up, and it reminded me of all the awesome seafood restaurants on the Gulf coast of Florida.. no fluff, solid drinks, extremely friendly atmosphere, local vibes, and great seafood. We ordered the calamari appetizer, grilled salmon, blackened mahi mahi (added a picture), and kid's cheeseburger sliders.

Right out of a Jimmy Buffett song, but right here in Brielle at the Jersey Shore! Friendly staff, clean and socially distanced, great management and offering a little something for everyone. Families usually can grab a picnic table under a large cafe umbrella right by the water. Couples caboodle and share apps snug in Adirondack chairs with a view more than six feet away. Well-priced for a shore Bar & Grill. Grab one on the best house Margaritas available down the shore and sit back in a bright pink Adirondack chair, watch the fishing boats and cabin cruisers swing in and out of the yacht club and marina while you dig into a reasonably priced pound of peel-n-eat shrimp from the Pig-N-Parrot's raw bar! Burgers and other delights available for non-fish eaters.

Never in my life have I felt more disrespected as a woman!! The owner should be absolutely ashamed of himself. I will NEVER return back to this disgraceful place. I arrived with my younger sister and a friend. We are all well over 21 and have been for several years. Before we were even able to get to the bar to grab a drink we were stopped by this short, stocky man with terrible tattoos. He asked for our IDs. We quickly went into our purses and took them out no questions asked. Right away this man made it clear that he was determined they were fake. He stared at them for several minutes making faces. Never has this happened to us before. He kept rudely questioning us with snide remarks which were most definitely intended to INSULT US. We had done absolutely nothing wrong. This man was clearly on a power trip and enjoys degrading women. He even went as far as to DAMAGE my 26 year old sister’s ID and claimed that it was “peeling so it must be fake”. He threatened to confiscate two licenses which were both valid NJ drivers licenses. He would not give them back. At this point all we wanted to do was leave. We spent several minutes going back and forth. He would not accept credit cards, health insurance cards, or even a pay stub my sister offered to pull up on her phone. NEVER IN MY LIFE!! I kindly asked him to scan the licenses to prove they were real and he said even fakes will scan. Regardless, I asked him to do so that we could just leave. He went to go get a scanner, BUT GUESS WHAT...HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ONE. He finally gave the licenses back but not before completely degrading myself, my sister, and our friend. This HORRIBLE MAN turned out to be the owner. I will be telling every single person I know about his actions and what I witnessed tonight as a 30 year old woman trying to spend some quality time with two other legal aged women. Sir, again, YOU SOULD...

Went to this place for the first time last week. Place opens at 11:00 but no one was there until almost 11:30. Was the second table to be sat (table was dirty from night before asked for it to be wiped down and that seemed like I was asking too much) put our order in right after being seated and soon after it got crowded. (was glad I put order in beforehand) waited 30 minutes still no food. Asked server, she was very condescending saying to be patient. Waited another 15 minutes (in the meantime saw people who sat 20 minutes after me get their food) asked again and she said in a rude tone to be patient. Finally after waiting for over an hour (again 2nd table to be seated for lunch) I went inside to look for a manager (again) and couldn't find anyone. So I went into the kitchen to ask the staff where my food was. No one even acknowledged me, but it didn't matter the kitchen was gross. Food was everywhere, trays with food were STACKED on each other waiting to be sent out to the people. My server came into the kitchen saw me there, looked around and said in a rude tone, "here's your food" took the plates to my table, she threw them down on the table (which still had no utensils, napkins, or condiments) As I came from behind I looked at my food which was the Bang bang shrimp bowl, which consisted unbreaded raw shrimp (with the shell and legs still on them- and that's not bang bang shrimp) that were in oil with old bay looking spice on them - not cream sauce like it should be or worded on their menu. My husband's dish didn't have the french fries that he upgraded to, but the cheap potato chips. At that point with the dirty conditions, rude service, lack of help, I left and went across the bay to Shrimp Box in Point Pleasant where you never...
