We were enthusiastic when we found out Specialty's was somehow back in business, in all places, Brisbane?! They are only opened on weekdays so it was a voyage for me to drive down to Brisbane during my meager one hour lunch break. My favorite locations back then were the Sansome/Clay corner location and the one by Market and Battery. They used to have 1/2 priced cookies after 3pm. They still do have the lunch boxes. Those were great back then for catered lunch meetings. Today, I ordered one of my old favorites, the classic roast beef sandwich $15. My friend ordered the classic tuna sandwich $11. Back before the pandemic, their sandwiches used to be $6-7.50. We ate 1/2 each. Cookies are now $4. It brought back so many memories. Their sandwiches are great because they use plenty of mayonnaise, fresh vegetables, Italian vinaigrette and fresh bread. So good! This location serves Peet's coffee, so that's a bonus. Service is as expected for a counter style restaurant.

I recently visited Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery in San Francisco for a quick breakfast, and I was thoroughly impressed. The cafe features Peet’s Coffee, which makes for a perfect start to the day. I opted for takeout and ordered a Cafe Mocha and the spinach mushroom sandwich, both of which were delicious and fresh. The self-checkout system was incredibly convenient, making the ordering process seamless. The indoor seating area is comfortable, with a great ambiance for both quick stops and longer visits. If you have time, the walk around the bay just outside is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful escape with beautiful views. A fantastic spot for a quick bite or to linger longer—highly recommend!

So happy a Specialty's opened up here! Great food! Pot roast sandwich and beet salad - both wonderful! Muffins - delicious - blueberries packed with blueberries. Ginger carrot - truly scrumptious. Order at kiosk to dine in or take out. Peet's coffee - always a plus - available on site. Parking lot is fairly big - didn't see any accessible parking spots - a downside. Speciality's is open 7am to 4 pm Mon-Fri. Near the Bay Trail - great for walking or cycling. Onsite trash/compost/recycling option when you have finished your meal. For dining in, water comes in a glass that can be washed - versus plastic "recycle" or throwaway.
