Beef Shack — Restaurant in Bristol Township

Ive come to this location since it opened. The chicken sandwich is genuinely tasty. But this visit was incredibly disappointing. I know theres a wait for the sandwich, and its occasionally been a little long. But today I was told to pull in front of the building after going through the drive thru, instead of the designated spots, and spent 20+ minutes waiting when there was one couple inside and only 2 other drive thru customers. When I went in to ask what was going on, I was told "we couldn't see you" when no one ever left the building to check. Why would I just drive away after paying for food? There was truck behind me waiting as well, they also had to go in to get their food which had been sitting on the counter. There's no way they couldn't atleast see the truck from the inside. And to top it off I paid over $10 for a chicken sandwich that barely covered 50% of the bun. Ive usually had ok service here, but today was just frustrating. Ive worked food service for years, and I know how customers should be treated. I dont think us customers weren't seen, I think the employees didnt care enough to even check and were going to wait until we came in to grab our food. It just seemed lazy. I have been looking for a different beef sandwich besides Portillos. Sometimes you don't want to eat all bread with a side of beef. Now, we had 2 adults and 3 little kids. The bill was under $50. I usually spend more at Portillos. Both fry sizes are big. We had one Large and one regular. More than enough for all of us and tasted great. We also got a few cheese sauces. The kids had hot dogs plain, easy enough. They enjoyed it. We got the 2 cheesy beef on garlic sandwiches and spent the couple dollars extra for double beef. Well worth it. The beef was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. Usually Portillos to me is a little bland and every one complains Buona is too spicy. This is a nice in between. We got a couple fountain drinks that we worked into combo meals. We really enjoyed our food. The kids had to use the bathroom and we appreciated that they were kept up. I joined the rewards program before I ordered and already have a discount on my next order. With 3 kids, we don't eat out all the time so it's definitely a treat for us. Go to the register for online pick up. I come a decent amount of times and all great, 90% I use drive thru. Ordered online to pick up so I came up to counter like I have before, not at register, to pick up. Maybe that was my miatake. No one came for 5 minutes but I also understand it's a tough job so I patiently wait. The cashier hung around at the drive thru on her phone waiting, never asked if I had been helped yet. Side note I really don't mind she had her phone, more that she hadn't approached me. A pair of customers come in and order food, after taking the order the employee went back to drive thru on her phone. Someone came in after and went to register for their pick up. After handing food the employee went back to drive thru window. So I then moved over to register. She eventually came over and asked how to help, I said I was picking up. I chuckle as the pair came in saying they should have ordered online and pick up to save time, they ended up getting their food before I did. My bag of food had been done except for fries.
