El Patron — Restaurant in Bristol Township

We requested that our order be prepared with no pork. El patron made our gorditas with refried beans. Refried beans are made with pork.

We tried to call the store and work out a replacement, even offering to accept a credit for our next order. The woman told us that “no pork” wasn’t clear to them because they thought we meant no pork meat, even though we ordered chicken… she went on to say that we should have specified that we didnt want them to cook with any pork products, not that we just didnt want pork meat on our chicken sandwiches. Furthermore, she informed us that we would have to pay for a replacement at the store and to contact grubhub for a refund.

Im absolutely dumbfounded that El Patron not only blamed the customer for their mistake, but then refused to even offer to fix it….

If you don’t care about your customers then just say that.

I was craving guacamole, so we decided to stop in here for a menu. We ended up leaving with dinner. We ordered take away. It took us longer to look through the menu and place our order than it took for them to prepare our meals.

We were absolutely blown away by how amazing this food was. So much so that I went back the following day for dinner (take away). The first night we got a veggie burrito, it was so big that I had to weigh it, 1 lb 9.4oz!!! I had also had a taco salad with shredded beef. When I tell you, it wasn't a "salad" as far as I know salad. It was absolutely loaded with everything delicious, but not a ton of lettuce. I ordered it with shredded chicken the following night. Their chicken enchiladas (red) are phenomenal, and so are their cheese fries. Everything was so fresh and delicious.

I'm happy that this place is within walking distance, I just wish I had known about it sooner!

I'd like to eat inside one day, it's so cute inside.

Sitting down in the restaurant after seeing an Instagram ad is always worrisome. Being able to sit anywhere was nice, why I picked the seat next to the TV blasting music (hence the 4 stars for atmosphere, as it's great, just a little loud) wasn't the smartest idea. I was skeptical about it, but I ordered the birria tacos, which I saw on Instagram. I asked about alcohol, but they only have soda, coffee, and water. No alcohol. Only thing this place is missing is sipping on a Modelo or margarita. After ordering, nachos were brought to me and the first bite transported me to my grandmother's kitchen, as she made fresh corn tortillas. When the birria tacos came out (3 to a plate) they looked amazing. I tried the hot sauce which was hot, but the taste was delicious. The birria tacos did not disappoint in the slightest. If anyone asks me for a recommendation for a Mexican restaurant, I am going to recommend this place. No question the best Mexican food I've had outside...
