Only One Jamaican Restaurant — Restaurant in Brockton

Cleve from Only One Jamaican restaurant II in Brockton MA is the man. Cleve thanks for making our trip a memorable one. My husband and I live all the way in Norwood and we were looking for this restaurant (we couldn't remember the name), when we found it we were so happy.

My husband doesn't eat rice and Cleve offered him options, instead of just dismissing him and saying, "well that's what we have" he gave suggestions and my husband was able to get a bit of raw veg and steam Cabbage to make his a meal. You know how some ppl can be a bit cross, well Cleve was very accommodating.

Now; I had the oxtail and boy I must tell you, it's THE BEST oxtail I have had in a while!!! It was tender, falling off the bone juicy, so succulent! 😋 😋 😋 Mnmnmnnnn. Finger licking good! And the flavor chart is number one.

The jerk chicken was fire, and the curry goat was bomb! Not gonna lie the pork looked good too. I must also mention, they have plenty of options, from 2 types of fish, to curry goat, to sweet and spicy chicken. We'll come back for more stuff. Hope you enjoy your meal as much as we did. God bless

I have not been in this restaurant since it changed the name. The place was clean and neat. We went here early - 10ish in the morning so they are still prepping and putting out most of the food. I always go for the ox tails with extra gravy in any Jamaican restaurant I go to and my daughter goes for Jamaican patty. The ox tails was good, no complaints. My daughter said the beef patty was in the ”good” category as well. I usually rate the cleanliness of the bathroom but in this case we didn't use it on this visit. Not sure if they even have one for guests. Overall, the employee greeted us, he was friendly. He didn't have any issues about giving me extra gravy. They take credit cards, not sure if there is a minimum. The transaction was easy, and fast. Will update when we come back but so far,...

Food is really good,but they lack good service sometimes. The men are usually friendly and accommodating to your requests, but the lady can be a bit rude at times. For example, I know I will get charged extra for extra items, and she tells you, which is fine by me but when you ask for more - she will give attitude and you wont get what you want. On a couple occasions, I had asked for an extra spoonful of oxtail sauce, and she wasn't having any of it -and neither was i.I would still recommend and keep going there for my take outs. Just keep in mind that maybe it's been a long day for certain workers, and no extra sauce...
