GYRO KING — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

I was on my way to Chipotle and immediately turned around when I saw Gyro King. I wanted to try something new and I love Gyros so I thought, let's give it a try. Walking in I was immediately greeted and the environment was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the chicken platter which includes rice, hummus, greek salad and pita bread. The hummus was nice and creamy with robust flavors. The chicken was delicious and freshly cooked and the pita bread combo between the rice ,chicken, and hummus was everything Ive been looking for in the this style of cooking. At the same time, the gyro sanwich was equally impressive. The Tzatziki sauce was absolutely phenomenonal in the sandwich and tasted fresh! Don't pass this place without giving it a try especially if you like mediterranean cuisine because you won't be disappointed. ...

This unassuming restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the Tulsa area. Not only are the owners and their sons exceptionally friendly, the food is beyond excellent. Homemade is the name of the game at Gyro King and your tastebuds will recognize the difference from the first bite to the last. Homemade hummus is out of this world, as is the delicious yellow rice that comes on some of the platters. The homemade falafel, giant cabbage rolls, and amazing fresh baklava are a real treat. Of course, the gyros and grilled chicken are also awesome. And don’t forget the fries! Their secret seasoning is fabulous! For a real treat, try their special Greek Fry Platter, a basket of perfectly crispy fries topped by gyros, grilled onions and mushrooms, feta cheese, oregano and a bit of cayenne pepper....

This place is amazing. The gentlemen behind the counter are so nice and the food is amazing. I get the Gyro Platter and Baclava and it is on point every time. The rice isn’t anything special necessarily but it’s always cooked to perfection. The hummus is probably my favorite of all time. The bread isn’t too soft and it isn’t too crispy and it’s always consistent. Can’t fail to mention that the gyro meat is awesome as well. I love the way it’s prepared. The texture and rich flavor of the meat goes so perfectly with their taziki sauce wrapped in their bread. If you want consistent, good, Mediterranean fare look no further. Go tonight. You...
