A few years ago I visited Habaneros and had lunch. From the best of my recollection I had chicken and cheese enchiladas covered in queso accompanied by rice and beans. I recall that experience being pleasant and the food was good, but for no reason I haven't been back. Fast forward to May 28th, 2022 we were driving through south Broken Arrow on our way home to Coweta and I was put in charge of picking the dinner spot. I decided to take the family, my beautiful wife and lovely daughter, to a 'new' to them spot. Low key I wanted to check them out again and this was the perfect opportunity. It was in the evening of a Saturday probably around 7pm or so. It was moderately busy inside and on the patio. I personally wanted to sit on the patio since it was a gorgeous day, but the daughter wanted to be inside. Needless to say we sat at a booth next to the patio so those of us that wanted to be outside can peer through the window and see what we're missing out on. In the beginning it was pretty noisy in the section we were sat. Honestly, we had a brief moment of regret sitting inside. Luckily a party of 10+ people left within five minutes of our arrival and we had a normal dining experience going forward. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We asked what she likes on the menu and she gave us several of personal favorites. My wife opted to order one of her recommendations, steak degollado. Ribeye topped with shrimp, queso, and crispy bacon. For some reason the chili rojo was talking to me so I ordered it. My daughter stuck to what she knows and normally likes, chicken enchiladas covered in queso with rice and beans. When our food arrived I was disappointed I didn't order what my wife got. With that being said, I was very happy with my meal. Portions were generous and everything tasted great. I like that they have a variety of sides like steamed veggies and zucchini which is sautéed with onions. It is nice to have non starch and carb filled sides. Between the good service and food I foresee us visiting again in the near future. Plus their spicier salsa is pretty good too.

First time- horrible experience! My friend and I went there for a late dinner. No one spoke english, no straws, seating was very difficult and uncomfortable. I had to reposition the tables & chairs myself to get comfortable. We ordered the fajitas for two- meat & shrimp was not seasoned at all, beans looked like mush on a platter and they only gave us 6 small tortillas for a plate full of food!! Not to mention they didnt provide us with any plates for our chips/ salsa’s. We had to ask for everything! We had a table full of food and she had to ask how many to go boxes? I’m like cant you tell? Plus I was not happy with the prices! I could have made better food at home or gone to a steakhouse for the $60 i paid for two people! 13.50 for a drink is nuts! Also what really shocked me is they served drinks to two minors! Also they served two marguaritas to two women & then they asked for a pitcher! That is purely ILLEGAL!! You can and will loose your serving license for that! Plus they let the two minors drive after! Then they wonder why people get in car wrecks this is why!!! Speak english and have better quality food and fix ur serving issues and u may b able to keep ur business. Also I pray to God, I dont get food poisoining!

False advertising, I ordered over the phone for pick up. Used their menu on their dedicated website and they overcharged almost everything!!! The chips were my biggest thing. On their website large chips are $6.99 when I get to the restaurant it’s double! Are you kidding me it’s chips it’s not hard to make and you charged $14.99 I even show them the website with their menu and the manager comes out and makes an excuse about well I think there’s two websites and the owners won’t up date it. Lies, they are chips, no chips cost $14.99. The queso is marked up and so is the salsa. Actually now I’m looking at the receipt and the menu closer even my Triple A specials are marked up. Completely rip off and robbery on this. I wasn’t going to run to Walmart too to just get chips because I promised I would bring home chips from the restaurant I paid the full amount but I want the owner to make this right and give me back the difference they overcharged and refused to do anything about. I was also told food would be ready in 20 minutes and still waited at least another 10 to 15 minutes inside when I arrived

Habanero's Mexican Bar and Grill is one of the best Mexican food restaurants that you can find probably in Oklahoma but it is located in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. So narrowing down the occupants that can possibly go there in a single day I would have to give it a special pandemic review as we come out of the pendant so here it is. Today we went to eat as a family of 7 at Habaneros Mexican Bar and Grill - it was wide-open. We got there at about 10:30 a.m. and there were few people leaving so we were ahead of the Sunday lunch crowd. What I like the most about today is we walked right in and we - were treated by a happy eager staff and seated right away.

The staff performed on such a high efficiency level that I must say it was equal to a five stars Entourage of staff . Right away we were served with hot fresh chips, salsa and hot queso. It was delicious and I do recommend salsa and the queso. I want to say something special about Habanero Mexican Grill and Bar salsa. It is probably the best queso in Oklahoma. I have traveled all over Oklahoma and the salsa greatly differs from restaurants to restaurants cross this beautiful state of Oklahoma. By far Habanero Mexican Grill and bar has the best to date, if there is any thAt would like to challenge that taste I would be eager to try. I am not a fan of cilantro let me say. A lot of restaurants - in reality most Mexican restaurants or Hispanic restaurants that serve real authentic Mexican food adorn their salsa with cilantro to point of overwhelming the salsa. In most places it is like have a little bit of salsa with your cilantro and if you don't really care for cilantro then that's a major problem because restaurants do not make salsa with a batch of light cilantro and another batch of heavy cilantro. So if you don't like the cilantro being overwhelming in your salsa you're kind of out of luck for salsa.

There is just the right amount of cilantro and balance of spices with chunks of tomato and just enough liquid sauce to make this salsa far better than any I've ever had. Now let me take this moment to let you know that I absolutely despise cilantro I cannot stand it - I don't like the smell of it - I don't like the taste of it, but the queso at Habanero Mexican Grill and bar has just the tiniest bit of cilantro in it for a person like myself, who can not palette the thought of cilantro let alone the taste of cilantro. So everybody a Habanero's Mexican Grill & Bar two times up for a five-star salsa with a hint of cilantro.

I took many pictures today of the different types of dishes we a family of seven ordered. We each had something different - check out the pictures, please like the pictures and give me a thumbs up. Your encouragement with your thumbs up and your likes help me help all of you seeand feel the experience of eating these delicious dishes and give me motivation to continue in future reviews.

I normally get fried chimichangas but today I got the grilled chimichangas deep-fried which is the first entree of chimichangas. On the menu they have 2 chimichanga dishes - one of them is with grilled chicken or beef and the other one is with shredded chicken or beef. I normally get the one with the shredded chicken and beef, but today I got the grilled chicken and beef and it was a huge difference. I'm not saying that the other one is not as delicious as the grilled but what I am saying is I enjoyed the grilled chicken more than the shredded chicken just simply because the grilled chicken came in chunks and it had tons more flavor then the shredded chicken. Shredded chicken is about a dollar and a half to $2 cheaper but I will be ordering the grilled chicken for now on.

As great as it is my family always love the flavor of the atmosphere and Hospitality there at habaneros. So check out the photos like this review and as we say on Tulsa live go get you some Habanero's Mexican Grill and Bar you are...

The food is very good. BUT Very unhappy with service. They close at 10 pm On the weekends. We arrived at 9:05 pm on Saturday and were given rude stares by all the staff. We ordered queso as an appetizer and never received one refill on our chips, waters, never even checked on us again after giving our order. So when we asked for a to-go box so that we could “get out of their hair” we also asked for a refill of chips to-go since we had a lot of queso left, and they charged us 2.00 dollars plus change for the chips. Their advertised table drink menu on one of those plastic framed table signs that live by the salt and pepper shakers says 5.99 for dine in margaritas and we double checked by asking our server Victor who didn’t know and had to ask what the actual drink prices and sizes were and he said it should be only one size that it would reflect what the advertisement says and he lied the margarita was 8.99 not 5.99, 3 dollars more Than advertised and it listed a beer that they don’t even carry. Seriously we were done with our meal by 9:45 pm when they close at 10pm and were not the last people in there and still we were glared at by the employees idly standing behind the bar across the room from the booth where we were seated. Stared at our entire meal but avoided service-wise completely the entire meal. Food is good/ comparable to other Mexican restaurants in Broken Arrow, but service was incredibly rude. Would have been rude even if we came 50 minutes before they closed on a Monday evening but incredibly rude and weird to be treated that way on a Saturday! I hate tipping below 20 Percent but this was ridiculous and with the economy’s current struggle with inflation it’s hard to go out and we never get a date night because we have a toddler which is another reason we have to start our evening later when we are able to leave her with my parents for a night out. Just very frustrated by the treatment very unprofessional and bordering on hostile.

Ps I mentioned to the host when we were leaving that we would like to speak with the owner or have his number when he is available and he said “there isn’t” and I said “so there is no owner?” And replied “no there is he is just never here.” I said “okay I was just very displeased with the service we were charged 2.59 for to go chips when we never received one refill on chips when we order 6.99 worth of queso and we asked for to go simply to get out of your hair because everyone was staring at us just because we came 50 minutes before closing. I’m sorry I have to start late in the evening due to dropping off my toddler at my Parents house we never go out so it’s frustrating to have this service.” The Male employee I was speaking to at the register responded by saying nothing to me and just immediately looking my white, Male spouse in the eyes (I myself am Asian and female) and asking, “Do you agree with this?” WOW!!! This rubbed me and my husband the wrong way. I guess as a female, or minority - not sure which? I needed my genuine and obviously true complaints appropriated by a Caucasian male? I have a master’s degree and I’m 35 years old but I guess that does not qualify my opinions, thoughts, ideas? When my husband agreed with me the male employee handed us 3 dollars Cash for the chip charge and said sorry...
