Here's my story as a former employee at this McDonald's.
Every time I walk in the store and clock in for my shifts, I would see smiling faces from my fellow co-workers because I'm that employee who gives my full effort when it comes to work and they like seeing that. Usually there will be 3 employees working at the front counter. (Lobby) But during my shifts, I would be the only person to work at the counter. I have to take orders, bag orders, serve orders, take care of the lobby, all by myself... Now it doesn't seem too bad but when it gets extremely busy, especially Sunday, my coworkers all relied on me to take responsibility while they chillax and sit in the back and show little interest in helping me out. I will constantly have to shout for assistance and when that's granted, they'll do the lilliest they can such as, serving one order and thinking that was it... At the end of the day, I'll always manage to do my job all by myself and leave my shift with pride. But truth be told, because of my overall great performance and dedication everyday, this McDonald's took advantage of me. I've always wondered why they are never hiring even though I'm like the only worker and every time I ask, my manager would say no one is applying. Sure I believe you. There's 3000+ students who goes to Broken Arrow High School and I'm pretty sure majority of them filled in an application. Some even come up to me during my shift and ask me for an application but did they ever get hired? No, why would they hire new people when they have me doing all of the work for them? More money for the company right? I took a visit to this McDonald's just 2 weeks after I quit. Only to see loads of employees scattered around the counter. And it was a slow day, hardly any customers. Is that how it is? You lost the best employee then you decided it's time to start hiring people? Win-win because now I got a new job that pays me double of what this McDonald's paid me.
If you want to work here, go for it. But if you're Hispanic, expect to be treated better because people like me are not treated equally. Not to mention 90% of the staff members are Hispanic and very biased.
And avoid weekend morning shifts if you just started. It's the worst working experience I've ever had. That is, unless you...

Read moreI've had a few rough experiences here and have given it a couple more chances than I should have. My worst experience by far was in the drive-thru a couple of months back after moving to one of the nearby neighborhoods: I was trying to give my order at the drive-thru to one person when another person interrupted and tried to rush me. There were exactly two cars that had just pulled up behind me when I was told to "pull up and order at the window". The poor lady at the window was confused when I told her, so I pulled around again- my mistake. I was rushed again by the same person who was frankly being very rude. I came home with stale fries, a tea that wasn't mine, a ¾-full cup of Dr. Pepper, and an overall bad experience (I was ordering for my entire family as well, so when I relayed the story to them, they were just as furious). I was more patient and considerate than many people would have been during this ordeal.
The reason I'm writing this review now is because today, my sister ordered an iced coffee from this location; when she got home, she happened to look at her drink and saw that there was a fly that was frozen inside of the ice. I'm through with giving this place second chances. Some visits are pretty decent, but the majority of them have been bad. I've worked in fast food before, so I understand how rough it can be, but that does not excuse rushing and being rude to customers, interrupting them, etc. I know that this store could do so much better, but all in all, I'm tired of being disappointed every...
