Montero's Pizza — Restaurant in Brooklawn

Listen up Pizza people WE GOT ONE INOUR TOWN. I had the opportunity to have a real pizza experience. I live in Westville NJ and we have pizza store on every corner in a small town. BUT, Montero's just took over. We got a Thursday night special large cheese and 10 wings for $19.00, Grilled chicken creaser salad. The pizza sauce, if i am allowed to call it that.. LOL Or gravy? Dont kick me, but the sauce is BUSSIN. That means good yall.. LOL The owner had a chit chat with me and let me know thats a 200 year old Italian family recipe and NO ONE around here can come close. I put his pizza up against ANYONE, ANYONE.. Thin crust, crispy HOT.. and the WINGS.. I got Garlic parm wings. BUSSIN. fried hard and he has his OWN HOMEMADE HOT SAUXCE. SO Good SO Good. But what really makes them special, while i was asking about the store he showed me were they have something called PAY IT FORWARD MEALS. You can donate a slice or soda or meal, they ring it up and Tape the receipt along the counter and if someone is on hard times they can walk up and act like they are looking at a soda and grab ticket so they wont feel embarrassed. THAT PUT THEM OVER THE TOP WITH ME. Please help me with congratulating them and thanking them for moving here. Please help support them they matter around...

I follow Montero’s on Facebook and they post daily specials on their page, one of the specials for 6/15 was 1 large pizza with 1 topping. I called to place my order for the large pizza special, I was told about 15 minutes. I arrived within the time frame, walked in and was warmly greeted by a very nice woman whose name I later learned is Peggy. I spent a little bit of time talking to her and a couple of gentlemen who were also very friendly. I paid for my order and her, the other 2 gentlemen and I were talking about different food related things and I was offered a taste test of a home made hot sauce that they use on their chicken wings. I'm not a huge hot sauce fan, but this sauce was really good! It wasn't burn your face off hot, it had a mild/sweet heat to it. This was also my first time of actually going to their physical location, I had previously ordered off of slice and door dash. I will definitely be a repeat customer due to the treatment I received. The pizza was also really, really good, it had a nice chew to it and the crust...

This was my first time trying this place. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni. They were very fast to make it. As far as the presentation goes it looks great the pepperoni spreads across the entire pizza. Every bite will be a bite with pepperoni. It has good flop the bottom is done exactly how it should be. The ingredients taste fresh the cheese is delicious the sauce is a perfect balance it's not too sweet it's not too acidic. The crust is chewy and delicious. I would recommend this place to others if they were in there and they said where can I get a good pizza at I could say you could try this place leave it up to them. They wouldn't be disappointed though if they're looking for a traditional Philadelphia area pizza. I have tried places all over the place and I can safely say this place ranks higher than most.
