My experience at Wagner's has been the worst one ever in my life. I grew up in Minnesota and one day my 5 y.o. wanted a milk shake. Being we told by a co-worker they served good burgers and shakes I decided to go there a week ago. Last week I ordered a California burger for me and chicken tenders for my 5 yo. It was good. So we decided to return again on July 7th. I parked before at least one car. The waitress acknowledged them but didn't acknowledge me. The same waitress was taken care of others patrons including at least one other waitress. Neither waitress had come to take my order or still had acknowledged I was there. After sitting for about 2 minutes the first waitress I seen went to another vehicle which arrived after me. I tried to get the waitress attention but saying "excuse me I have been waiting before them". She continued to take their order. The other waitress had heard me and walked into the facility and next thing I heard was a man stating "she can get a life". As the first waitress was finishing up the other vehicles order, the other waitress approached the car. I asked the waitress was that man talking about me. She said she didn't believe so. I had asked her if she could verify that he wasn't talking about me. She went to ask but that waitress never returned. Then he comes the man come out in a defensive mode. I had asked him if he was referring to me when he stated she needs to get a life. He danced around the question. Saying that he had to send staff home and staff was calling in. But as I tried to explain to him that's not my issue. My issue is how I was treated when I drove in. He stated that I was on the phone. I tried to asked what does being on the phone have to do with someone coming over to ask me if I was ready to order. In addition, it doesn't state on the premises that you can't be on the phone. So I asked again was he referring to me when it came to the statement he made. He never answered the question so based on him not answering I decided that I will not be ordering. As he was walking away, he peeked at my license plate. I asked him what does my license plate have to do with my issue. I left and thought I would call this morning to speak to the manager/owner.
Low and behold he answers. Still trying to dance around the question and making the issue over the phone. He was not allowing me to talk. He kept cutting me off. Not addressing his bad attitude not how I was treated as a customer. He hung up the phone up after trying to yell about me being on the phone. He never apologized for how I was treated. I will never visit this place again. They need some people skills. They treat customers like crap when they someone questions their customer service unless it maybe about something else....ethnicity???? Don't know for sure but it's just...
Read moreThis place is like Sonic's dive-in but better. This was my first time going here. I bought the Wrangler burger, Gourmet burger, Bacon Cheese burger, and the Walleye fish dinner. The burgers don't come with drinks or a side (just like Five Guys), so you have to add each on separately, which does add up(just like Five Guys). The fish dinner is sold by weight, and it's nuggets/fat fish fingers. So you might get 2 or 3. An extra piece is $2.90 before taxes, while the dish itself is $13.05 before taxes(yes I bought the extra piece since I didn't know how many pieces I was get to begin with). The dinner comes with fish pieces, french fries, coleslaw, white toast, and sauce. I also bought 3 drinks and french fries to go with the burgers. In total, I spent $80. That's a bit much now day, but I can't complain too much when everything is made to order. The 3 stars are because the burgers were very dry, and condiments don't come on the burger either. The fish batter is good, and the fish is good, but $13.05 for 2 or 3 nuggets/fat fish fingers is not it. Then, to charge $2.90 for an extra piece is wild. I was expecting a fish filllet with them saying they sell it by the weight. In total, I received 3 pieces of fish even after paying for the extra piece. All the drinks had too much ice in them to the point of all drinks being gone by the time we drove away from them and made it to the green street light by them(if you know the street then you know). I did buy 3 large drinks. They all shouldn't have been gone, but they were. at aThe french fries were the best out of everything. I would definitely go get more...
Read moreMy family and I went to Wagner's about three weeks ago and the young lady that took our order did not make us want to come back. I told her that it was our first time there and asked her how was the chilli cheese burger and her reply was " I don't know I've never had it, I mean it has chilli and cheese on it" very nasty attitude we ordered food for 5 people and things were missing. We pulled back up to the stall that we were at and i tried to get her attention and she looked at me and she walked right passed us like we weren't there. So I got the attention of her coworker and told her the things that were missing and she got them for us and we left. The young lady that got our missing items was wonderful and I wish we had gotten her the first time. I will say the fish was ok but there was too much mayo on it and I don't like mayo and I would have ordered it without mayo. I would have known that if our order taker had told me that when I asked if they had a fish sandwich. The onion rings had a sweet taste to them so much so that it left a sweet taste in my mouth and my husband couldn't eat them because they made his blood sugar go up and yes he's a diabetic. The print on the menu was so small that it was hard to read. But thats ok we won't be going back. What's so crazy about it the day before we went Wagner's was on the news about surviving the covid and how good the service and food was. It was nothing to...
