Lord Tamale here to let you know how my experience went here. Parking was great. Located in the 4 seasons plaza in the area that can't ever seem to keep anything there. The place is huge and we came in at an off time so we were the customers. As the Friar mentioned a few days ago, the place had a bit of an unpleasant stench in the air. They did comment that they are working that out with the building owner. It was right after the rain so I know this can be the case sometimes. My sister frequents here and never had an issue with it. I visited again a couple days later and you really couldn't tell until near the bathroom. Not holding this against them at all after trying the food. Let's get cooking.
I had an unsweet ice tea to drink. It was cool and refreshing.
Chips & Salsa!!!! Chips were good and could handle a topping. Salsa was a little too tomato puree for me and needed a bit more cilantro for my taste. I used some of the cilantro from my tacos to remedy this.
I ordered Torta Milanesa de pollo $13: Bun, French Fries, Beans, Mayonaise, Queso Fresco, Tomato, Onions, Avocado, Lettuce, Chili Peppers and Breaded Chicken. Oh my I looked at Friar Fajita and laughed because this was the best torta I've ever had. The bun was super light, fluffy, and had a toasted crunch happening on the inside. The chicken was thin, fried perfectly, and melted in the mouth. Every bite was the invite to the party I was looking most forward too. I ate half immediately and the other half I ate cold the next day. It was amazing even right out the fridge.
I ordered the tacos al pastor (3) $16: Rice, Beans, Onions, Cilantro and Hot Salsa. Served with refried beans and rice. The meat was amazing, charred up nice, tender, and had that pineapple flavor throughout. The tortillas were good and didn't dry up my bites. The hot salsa was outstanding and just the right heat for me.
I ordered a carnitas burrito $12: Rice, Black Beans, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream, Sauce and Pork. It happened again! The best tasting burrito I've had in this lifetime...This was the one! I meat again was tender and flavorful. Everything else married this thing together in pure bliss. It was hard for me to believe how good everything was.
The service was outstanding from start to finish both times I came in. I really can't say enough good things. Well maybe just #1 more.

Read moreI’ve visited a few times. The place is big and nice. The service is good as all the workers are really kind and attentive. Most importantly the food is yummy. Someone said the chicken tacos tasted like from a can?? I’m a taco addict (eat them at least once a week) and I think they’re very tasty. Definitely don’t taste like can, I would never eat something that did. I love the location, is my favorite plaza next to home.
Only downside is that is very empty, but that’s not their fault. Any restaurant made there always has this problems (and other businesses in the plaza) where in not a high traffic area and the businesses don’t last.
I hope they last and get...
