Wonderful establishment and owner! Time is easily spent at the Hourglass, in a laid-back atmosphere, with friends and a simple menu hiding marvelous fare. The sun shining, we sat on the deck out back near a wood line. I had the Chicken Philly and a side of lightly battered fries, a marvel of seasoned grilled magnificence, loaded with an abundance of fresh chicken, blended with perfect amounts of bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and cheese, of your choosing, all cradled end to end within a bun even my father would have approved of, more than worthy of its well crafted contents. It'll spread your elbows wide and you'll find your eyes casting about wildly, protecting your feast. The fries, well, they are 99% potatoes and 1% magic coating. Trust me, just get em!

Neat little bar in Brookville, PA. Cheap food, cold drinks, and friendly staff. Pros: cheap, nothing over $10.50 it seems for food. Boneless wings are inexpensive. Had a Reuben and it was fantastic, and the beer battered fries were fresh and pipping hot. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Plenty of free parking and not busy. Cons: cash only, there is an ATM but if you only have credit then there isn’t a way to pay. Smoking bar so if you don’t smoke or are sensitive I wouldn’t recommend this place either. -2 stars. Overall, decent place

Came across this great old school local bar after hiking with the buddy. Stopped in for a few beers in the afternoon we had more time we would have stayed longer and got something to eat. And had I known it was a smoking bar we would have brought some cigars! Hopefully we get back soon and try out their large back deck

Love this bar! Small town place "where everybody knows your name". Great food. Their burgers rock and the steak pizza is my favorite!!! Great selection of beverages! Reasonable prices. They have live music almost every weekend ....a juke box is available the rest of the time. They have Pa lottery and gaming machines and of course a pool table. The reason for the four stars is that I am not a smoker and this bar...
