Read moreWe have been going to this wafflehouse for almost 10 years. We have always had good service and excellent food until the other day. When we arrived, the grill cook wasn't even there. We had to wait for her to come back from going to get snacks at the gas station. The waitress did not smile or place our silverware in front of us she treated us like it was a problem that we were there. We placed our order and waited about 10 minutes for the grill cook to arrive. Instead of making sure our drinks were topped up, our waitress was talking with her co workers and counting her tip money. When I asked for more coffee, and my grits... I had to ask her to wash her hands because she had just touched dirty money. She didn't wear her hair up like the other employees (which I thought was a health violation) she asked why I wanted my grits now and not with my meal, (because we had already waited an extra 10 minutes for the grill cook to show up) my blood sugar was too low. The grits were disgusting. She had not stirred them up prior to serving them, and all I got was a bowl of melted butter. As I watched our food being prepared, I noticed the floor behind the counter had food, trash and a puddle of standing water on the floor that the employees were walking around. We have never seen this wafflehouse look like this, all the while our waitress was talking with her coworkers using curse words. My eggs were not over medium, but the grill cook quickly had 2 more eggs coming. The bacon was cooked too much and had blackened edges. The waitress did give us a 20% discount. I was thankful with that. But after getting home, I tried to upload my receipt to The Fetch App. Fetch would not accept my receipt saying it had already been submitted by someone else!!!!! After seeing so many health violations, poor service, and theft of Fetch points... We will not ever go back to the Brookville...
Read moreCame in with my son to eat and left before even getting sat down. The open tables they did have were still dirty with food on them. So we sat down in the front seats waiting for a table to be cleared and cleaned after the server had told us to wait a minute. Almost 10 minutes later and still no table available another couple come in and sit at a dirty table. Servers proceeded to get them set up with silverware and begin drink orders all while discussing right in front of me how I was waiting already. Then proceeded to ask me if I was there for a table or carry-out. I explained I was waiting for a table to be cleared so my son and I could sit down and that the server had asked us to wait. Yet instead of getting us sat and taking our orders, both servers looked around like they were confused and didn't know what to do. Common sense would tell you to take care of the customers who got there first and had been waiting 10 minutes. However they moved forward with setting the other table up first for the customers who came in after us. So obviously my son and I walked out. We will not be back, atleast not while those servers are on shift. Have never had such bad customer service at this waffle house. They should have asked right away when we walked in if we were there for dine-in or carry out. And when they found out that I was waiting on a table, I should have been sat immediately while explaining to the other customers that they would be right with them after getting me taking care because I had already been waiting on a table. We werent even given a "im sorry about the confusion, come have a seat, we will be right with you". My son and I shouldn't be expected to sit at a dirty table that hasn't been cleaned to make it obvious we are there to be...
