Teardrop Junction — Restaurant in Brown City

Oh how I wish it were possible to give a negative star review. 10 minutes in...random guy brings us waters. Not so sure he even worked there. 20 minutes to get a menu. Another 15 to place order. Salad bar was.....not good. Lettuce was good. Croutons were soggy. No cheese, no bacon bits, no onions, no tomatoes. Pretty much lettuce, dressing, and sunflower seeds was all there was to offer. Some locals stopped and gave us a bell. Pretty much expecting us to get impatient and ring it to stop some sort of employee. Couldn't tell who was actually working, with the people wandering about getting thier own menus, retrieving and pouring thier own coffee, and coming and going from the kitchen. Here we are an hour in....still no food. Yay...1 hour and 40 minutes in. Grill chesse.....grilled damn cheese.....cheese not even melted.....wow. BBQ onion burger......well.. it was handed to the wrong table. After noone claimed it, it was placed on a random table in the middle of the restaurant. After 5 minutes i did go find the waitress to find out if it was mine, so i could rescue it. It had no onion on it, but had bacon, which was a plus seeing it was not supposed to have it. Onion "petal" that was supposed to be on the burger....not so much. Instead was handed a basket with "onion petals 10 minutes after getting the burger. Those were completely over fried and burnt. Not to mention the grilled cheese came out 20 minutes after my burger. I'm at a loss for words at this point. I completely lost 2 hours of my life for terrible food and...

Food was decent and was a good sized meal but the service was honestly not great at all... Waited and hour for my food while the only group to come in besides me and my kids got served quickly they had their food in 15 mins tops. Also has the waitress pass up my empty cup multiple times to only refill it once . And for context it was not busy there was only 2 groups of people in there when I walked in already served . Only one group came in while I was sitting waiting all that time and it seemed that being well known by the staff got you better service cause they got served like they were royalty compared to my table . customers were taking their kids behind the counter and into the kitchen . I'm sorry but regardless of who you are your kids shouldn't be going into the kitchen during business hours unless they work there that comes across as unsanitary . I know it killed my appetite watching that kid touch everything he could on his way into the kitchen so I can only imagine what all got touched and is no longer clean in...

Sara has been great since she bought the place. She’s had hiccups here and there but she takes everything in stride. She has a fun personality and her and Marley are more than welcome to suggestions and ideas. She asked many questions about what my friend and i would like to see at the bar/restaurant. I instantly started making food suggestions. And now that she finally got the doors back open and has it all redone, which was much needed, i was so happy to see the suggestions i actually made on the menu. I begged for a salmon option as nothing here serves it, as well as one of my weakness meals. The monte cristo, and major kudos to her and the kitchen staff, it has by far been the best monte cristo I’ve ever had. She was even sweet enough to sneak me a surprise protein cookie in with my order, and it too was amazing. I love that despite all the problems and bad she’s come across she is still pushing forward and bringing something new and fresh to town. That she’s giving the place some new light.
