Dot's Place — Restaurant in Brownsboro

I’m not one to take the time to leave a review but I’ve reached a point where I feel like I need to. The food here is great and I have previously worked in the past with some super kind and great members of the staff that still remain there. Mrs. Vicky is the best cook there is and one of the nicest ladies but the other cooks not so much. The consistency of the food is the worst you could ever get. I am not kidding when I say 8 times out of every 10 times I go there is something wrong with my order. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to drive back to the store and ask them politely to change it and I’ve even had the cook be highly annoyed with me just because they couldn’t complete the order correctly?? The food is great but all I ask for is a little consistency and for them to take a little pride in completing the order correctly. I’ve contemplated never spending money at this restaurant again because of this ongoing issue that’s occurred consistently for about a year now, but unfortunately it’s one of the only restaurant options we have in this small town. Once again, nice people, great food, great ownership, but terrible consistency and ability to properly complete orders...

Was talking among friends about not being able in our area to find a good burger, of course, they think Whataburger is right and I did go and purchase a burger there but as everywhere else it too was on the soggy side with hardly a meat Patty on it. Somebody said try Dot's hamburgers are good there, so I did.

If I'm gonna eat a burger with any enjoyment they gonna be a good size meat portion with a crisp and hot bun with all the trimmings able to sit up on it's own looking worth the $ I just paid🤨not a messy gmo or thin sliced piece of meat falling apart burger😏

Dot's place did it right, couldn't eat it all. Big fat meat portions, even tasted great cold! That's the real test🤩 the beef tasted like grass fed beef! Really good. This was my 1st trip in; looked like kids running the place with moms in the kitchen cutting up fresh fixin's; young man was the cook and couple female younguns waiting the front. Nice, alert & friendly. Not much on aesthetics but good burgers. Oh yeah, big fat fries too with...

We went in at 6:30 pm on a Monday night. The place was not busy only 1 other table occupied, but 3 dirty tables. A lady asked for our drink order and brought 2 teas and asked for our order immediately, we had not had time to look at the menu. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries, I ordered the club sandwich with baked squash. At 7:12 we received our food. The hamburger patty was a Sam's club frozen patty on a greasy bun, the tomatoes were mush. My club sandwich was dripping with either grease or butter from a failed grill try at toasting. The baked squash was swimming in a grease filled Styrofoam cup. No one came back to refill our teas. For $27.36 we could have had a decent meal at most any other fast food joint. The food we had was absolutely horrible. I would keep driving into Chandler or the opposite direction to Athens and get good food. Never again...
