Worst experience I've ever had at this location night management is terrible slammed the phone after it rang for an entire 3 mins she answered and when they had hung up she aggressively slammed it twice in my husband and Is faces and made a grunting sound we order a shake a piece and it took 30 mins for us to even get someone to start making them the server was making rude comments everytime she had to serve someone food when she rang us up she made a comment said she wasn't sure when we were going to get our shakes she went to every single table and asked every single person if they needed anything after everyone said no she continued and busted tables not once did she make an attempt to make our shakes no one was coming in at 1 in the morning the drive-thru is busy the cook was swamped we sat on the stools for 30 minutes watching him nonstop cook he didn't take a break he didn't complain he didn't grunt I asked the server what is the estimated time on my wait I've already been waiting for half an hour she said she doesn't even believe someone was making our shakes she'll have to get with someone after she finished busting a table she's the only server working but let's not forget that she was doing absolutely nothing she had two tables and that was it the cook completely stopped what he was doing backed up drive-thru because he seen how frustrated I was he made our shakes for us even though he was so busy even though everyone was being rude to him no one was giving him any acknowledgement for his work I do not recommend eating here because of the night manager and the server I believe that that cook should be promoted and definitely given a raise I am definitely contacting corporate in the morning I was not compensated for my ridiculous wait time I wasn't even apologized to buy the server or the manager it is very sad to me that the cook who is underpaid had to cook for drive-thru cook for the restaurant run the back of the store by telling everyone else what they needed to do take all of the Rood negativity that people are giving him and make my shakes and apologize for other people's actions without feeling less that it was his responsibility or his fault I left tonight crying because my heart hurt knowing that he had to spend any more...
Read moreI had not eaten all day and was looking forward to a Frisch melt and western bbq n bacon with egg on the top, same thing I’ve always gotten for years. I arrived at 6:54 I remember looking at the clock wondering how long it would take since there were only 2 people in front of me. I ordered then verified my order at the window. After I pay they tell me they don’t add egg anymore but says he can add a patty to my burger which is fine. Then a lady gives me a shake with ice cream dripping down the cup so I ask for some napkins. Then I ask if I can get a barcode or if they can scan my phone for the rewards program. Only reason I thought about it is they have a sign that says to do that. Then they tell me they don’t do rewards. I look at the clock and it’s now 7:31 that I’m leaving after waiting in line forever. Then I go to eat the fresco melt and it’s cold, not just not warm but cold like it’s been in the fridge. My other burger was burnt and not warm. I also learn that they charged me for an additional burger that I didn’t order. The fries were decent but that’s all. The manager was nice but that doesn’t fix the fact I was in line for 30 minutes to get cold food at a FAST FOOD restaurant, if I’m waiting that long it should be fresh off the grill. Read moreLet me start by saying if I were rating on service, it would have been 4 - 5 stars. Our server, Shelby, did a great job .. I can't fault her for what she has to work with. What she had to offer was her service.
They were busy, so we had to wait maybe 15 min for a table. Once seated our menus and order was taken very promptly .. even though they seemed a little understaffed. In today's world, that seems to be more the norm than the exception.
My first choice of burger, they were out of (portabella Swiss), so I chose another, and a Reese Cup shake. A few minutes later our server came back apologized, and said they didn't have that shake either. That was fine with me ... I just picked another.
After somewhat of a long wait our platters came out, then my daughters shake, then finally mine. The shakes seemed a little more runny than I would have expected, but then again .. okay. Our fries weren't hot .. but Steak & Shake fries are the shoestring fries, and they tend to cool quickly.
We had a good server .. we were thanked when we left and paid .. and the food was okay. I didn't short the server on her tip because she definitely did her job well, especially since this was Dec 26th .. and she had worked Dec 25th as well.
Would I go back to this particular Steak & Shake? Probably ... if they're not...
