Pickers Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Brownsville

Well this was my first experience eating at Pickers Pub & Grub and I would definitely like to give a positive review. I placed a to-go order of the crispy chicken salad with the chicken dipped in honey mustard sauce and with a dressing of ranch with a order of their loaded french fries... It was very, very good. The lady that I talked to on the phone was very polite, respectful and listened to everything that I had to say and gave me exactly what I had ordered, regarding that I did make a few changes to the original order. The woman even threw in an extra thing of ranch dressing for me even though I did not ask for it. I must say that my first thought or question when ordering from a restuarant with good prices is "how much food will I be getting with my order?" I would definitely like to say that Pickers Pub & Grub fulfills my wishes of a lot of food. They give you large to-go containers that are packed full of food. So my wife and I decided to finally try a Local Bar and Restaurant! When we got there they were pretty busy and we only seen one table available so we sit down and it took a few minutes before we get menu's but we figured since they were so busy we didn't mind much! So our waitress(Michelle, she did a great job) was taking care of two large groups but she immediately took our drink order and came back within a few minutes for our food orders.So my Wife ordered the Monongahela Fish Sandwich with Cocktail & Tartar and a side of Fries and I went with the Reuben well we get our food and my wife's Sandwich had nothing on it so we had to try and get the waitress back to our table to get the cocktail and tartar sauce so in the meantime her stuff is getting cold so by the time she gets her sauces her fish was cold and who likes a cold fish Sandwich and her fries were soggy so she really didn't get to enjoy her meal. First timers: menu looked great with some tasty combinations, chicken salads were great. Service was killer, waitress super-friendly and always there. Cleanliness and atmosphere, perfect. It was wing night, so when in Rome.... not good. I know everyone has their opinion on what makes a good wing, but I hope these aren't their usual as they in no way compare to all the great little bars within rock-throwing distance (although no-one beats Rye's,lol) and we all know wings are a make-or-break for a bar. The chicken quality is great, no problem there. Sauce is the issue. There was none. I tried 6 old bay&butter and 6 mild (buffalo), overcooked- so the skinny ones were bad crispy, a wet sauce could have covered up this sin but there was only a light brushing for color. You couldn't even taste the old bay, my wife tried one when I told her how bad they were and asked "Are these the old bay ones?" 😯 I told her you shouldn't have to ask, lol. Taste?
