The Pizza Plug — Restaurant in Brownsville

I never like to leave a bad review, so please understand that this is only to help, not to slam. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat our food, which looked delicious, and that we had heard such good things about. Our sandwich, pizza, and salad all tasted chemical-ly, like perfume or cleaner. (Perhaps someone didn't rinse cleaner off the prep table well enough, or had lotion on their hands?) I assume this is a one-time thing, because no one else has mentioned it.

UPDATE- The owner, Meaghan, reached out to us and replaced the meal that we were dissatisfied with. It was delicious! We duplicated our original order, and were very happy with what we received. Meaghan was quite sincere in her desire to see that her customer was satisfied, and to make the situation right. My experience here was great from beginning to end.. when I called in to place an order the woman on the other end of the phone greeted me pleasantly and throughout the phone call was extremely polite and actually seemed happy to be working compared to anywhere else anymore that customer service lacks and seem so miserable.. when I walked in with my 3 year old daughter our order wasn't quite ready yet but they were very polite and helped entertain my daughter while we waited.. the food was fantastic, I got a chicken salad and a cheese pizza.. sauce was delicious and the salad was STACKED.. they are not afraid to pack you full of food and give you what you pay for! My mother said she order a pasta dish recently and it was also fantastic! We will definitely be frequent customers of this facility.. I also love the family atmosphere and how they seem to take care of their staff which is a huge plus for me coming from a management...

This is an amazing place to eat. This family cares more about the food and experience they are giving to you than any other place around. Not only does the owner love what she does, she cooks amazing food. If you haven't gotten the chance to eat here I highly recommend it. Their pizza is amazing, some of the best quality around. The Pizza Plug even goes as far as baking their own baked goods so you have some extra special treats to choose from. Though they may not always be the same or around you always have selection.
