Always come here with my family when I come to visit from San Antonio. The food is always delicious. I do wish they had a bigger selection of salsa but the food is good on its own too. Service needs to be better, we usually get there with 4 of us sometimes 6-7 people and there will be a table but we ourselves have to go clean it, if not they’ll let you wait for about 15mins before they do. We were visiting Brownsville from Dallas and looking for a small local Mexican restaurant to have lunch. Came across Sylvia's on Google and noticed the good reviews so we tried it out. The food was absolutely delicious! We opted for one of the daily specials (goat meatballs with rice, beans and fresh corn tortillas) and loved it. They brought us freshly fried tortilla chips and a warm salsa (that could have been eaten as a soup...yum) to start and we had a couple Diet Cokes, all for about $14. ...

Sylvia's was delicious . if you are a Cowboys fan this is your place to come. The food is delicious. it's not expensive and their Cowboys memorabilia goes from adorable to intense depending on where your eye wanders.
