the food is good.. When the place first opened it was great food and service. After danny's dogs medina closed it got real busy. Unfortunately, the place does not have the systems to handle being that busy. What has been happening the last few times I have been there is that the person running front counter will take a handful of orders.. maybe 5.. stop taking orders... letting everyone who comes in wait, thusly forming a line out the door, while they run the food to the tables of people whom have already ordered. This slows everything down as the counter person is essentially doing the job of the register person and expo. To the owner who also owns the cigar place behind it, and will shortly be opening an ice cream shop below it, you have gotten busy enough to warrant an expo. I was one of the first customers when you first opened. It took roughly 5 to ten minutes to order and get my food. This last time it took 20 minutes. 20 minutes. that is longer than some full service sit down restaurants. Also, usually most places prioritize dine in customers over take out. reason being.. they are dine in, they can tip and usually leave more detailed reviews. Take out usually almost never tip and are just coming in to grab it and leave. The diners are waiting for their food. I can't count how many times I saw the front person spend nearly five minutes just putting together togo orders. while dine in orders sat on that counter getting cold. It is also now busy enough to warrant some sort of ticket strip up front and in the kitchen. Tickets were just sitting on the counter. The counter person was clearly confused with the vast amount of orders. She just could not keep up. It sounded like the kitchen was also confused. Unfortunately, I have noticed that when the crew who seems to be made up of the original crew is there things run smoothly. When it is the newer crew its just chaos. To the owner I am overjoyed the place has taken off. Now you need to create systems to handle it, otherwise your ice cream spot with start struggling before it...
Read moreWe have been here several times and love it. Good food. Great prices. Nice sized portions. Every visit has been pleasant except last Sunday.
We walked into a busy building, doors were open, and waited in line, only to be told by staff that they were closed. The person behind the counter (not the usual person we have seen on our previous 6 or so visits) told us the people there were stragglers and that they closed at 5pm. It was 5:02 PM (I looked at my Apple Watch on the way out). I understand if they were closed, but the doors should be locked if they were closed. I find it incomprehensible that they would turn away a customer for something that, in my opinion, was their error. If you are closed, lock the doors. If a customer walks in because you failed to lock up, then serve that customer.
That being said, we do love the place, this was the only negative thing we have experienced there, but I still feel this changed my opinion of the place. That being said, we will go there again, like I said, we love the place, but this last experience left a bad taste...
Read moreYou walk in, place your order at the register where a friendly employee places it for you, and then sit and wait. Does not take long to receive the food. I ordered a chili dog with no bun and side of onion rings. Sis order the crispy chicken [2 large tenders], bacon, ranch sandwich with side of fries. Rings were amazing and sis LUVED the fries and her sandwich. The chili dog was ok... it was a bit soupy and tasted like watered down chili. The staff here is soo friendly and very attentive to your needs.. If you haven't visited the cleveland dog house.... you're missing out!!
EDIT REVIEW.........
SO... as we were getting ready to leave... a patron told us about an ice cream shop that they have outside in the back. I walked over to where the cashier was, which is now in the kitchen helping cook. I saw with my own eyes... she grabbed a handful of fries and into the fryer..... no one was wearing gloves .... this is why I gave a Zero over all...
