Bryant Arkansas. Thanksgiving day 2024 - ordered online and offered in store pickup so I chose it to pick up at 10:00 for 2 individual orders which was the turkey lunch and a veggie plate; 3 sides of dressing/1 green beans. I told the older woman at the counter I was here to pick up. She was a bit short and overwhelmed. She asked me over and over the name on the order. She told the ear mic very loudly my name 4 times. I told her and showed her the confirmation on the order. She told me it would be up soon. I waited 20 minutes going up to her to see what the problem was. She then said, “Oh! You’ll need to get in your vehicle and get in line to pick it up!!!” So, I got in my car and waited in line! Finally the older man went to find it… another 10 minutes, he came out with a paper in his hand to tell me that the order did not go through. It was not paid. Showing me a transaction on the paper. He told me to park mom the side to order again and PAY again. He said he would watch for it and get it right to me.! He also said if it was a mistake and I did pay for it to let them know. He said he was going to make a note of it on that paper and put it in the office!!! So I did… But this time I didn’t leave a tip! On 11/30 I went back to the Bryant AR Cracker Barrel and talked to Krista Russell, manager.!She took my information as I showed her my statement with the charges that was claimed that didn’t go through. She told me Simone would be contacting me. I have not heard from anyone yet! The cost was $33.00. I expect to be reimbursed for that amount. I have all documents to show. Will someone contact me please??? Or should I return to the restaurant with copies. Note: The older lady at the counter was complaining about 2023 Thanksgiving Day. I told her I remember it well. When I got to the back door to finally pick up my food, there were food trays and bags of food all over the floor at the back door. I still have pictures of it. It was a mess! I hoped that this year would have been smoother with me having the option to...
Read moreWe decided to skip the cooking this year and enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel instead. When we arrived we were disappointed at the 80 minute wait but decided to go ahead and wait. We received a text saying our estimated wait time was 80 minutes, and we would have 15 minutes after the estimated time to arrive. We were surprised when we received the ready text in less than 40 minutes, but we immediately headed back. We had a 2 year old in tow, so we arrived 20 minutes after the text arrived. According to the text we had until about 3pm to arrive given the 80 minute estimated time plus 15 minutes post estimated time. We arrived at 2:30, and they had already taken away our table. We asked to speak with management. The manager, SHERYL, was extremely rude and inappropriate. She informed my wife she didn’t care what the text said, they do not go by that, and to take it up with corporate. Im confused why a chain store has policies if individual stores do not abide, and if so, those stores should update their texts so customers know what they need to do, so situations like this can be avoided. The manager SHERYL did not care that my wife, who is a nurse, worked tonight and this was our only opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving as a family. Instead of offering to work us in, she told us we would have to get back on the list even though we told her we couldn’t wait another hour. She stated that was not her problem. We will never be back at this location as long as this rude, uncaring woman is in management. A simple apology and acknowledgment that she did indeed take away our table when the text clearly stated we had 80 minutes plus 15 to arrive. We even tried to show her and she stated she didn’t care...
Read moreCracker Barrel, today's visit was frustrating in several ways.
First the good stuff. The service was great once we got seated, about an hour after we got there. The food was pretty good, but it's kind of slipping-- the catfish and the grits were so bland, like there wasn't a single bit of Cajun seasoning or salt. My green beans were directly on the plate, so my fish was laying in a puddle of green bean juice. My step mom ordered the same thing (catfish, grits, and green beans), and her green beans were in a bowl on the plate. 🤔 Everything else was decent and priced fairly.
Some cons: The store is more crowded than I've ever seen; more floor space is needed to avoid things being accidentally knocked off shelves and creating a domino effect of tumbling merchandise. This scenario played out twice (two different people) in my hour in the store!
The windows on the entry doors were covered in greasy finger prints. The restroom stalls were almost all void of toilet paper-- there was one with a small amount of toilet paper left. Two of the three paper towel dispensers were empty. The trash was overflowing! 🤦♀️
The waiter was running himself ragged, and we had to wait on everything. We had been seated for about 20 minutes before he ever took our orders. He checked on us twice, was very friendly and tried to get us everything we needed. We sat after finishing all our food for at least 15 minutes before her brought us our check, and that was only because we caught him to ask for it. I think the store is grossly understaffed, so we were patient and kept a positive attitude with him. He was not lazy, he was overworked.
Other than that, it...
