Went to Denny's last night and was there waiting for 2 hours for my food. The manager Austin wasn't any help. He said well ok your now order is ready. I told him we have been here over 2 hours and noone has came over and said anything to us. He Austin said they didn't say anything to you about wait time when you came I. I said no . She took our order and said she would be back. When our food was in the window for 10 minutes then she come and said your food is ready but they messed up with the gravy. They put it on the chicken instead of the side . So you can take this or wait for the correct one. I said are you serious, because we've been waiting for 2 hours now. I ask her to send Austin back. She goes to get him. She goes to the register and then recorder our food in the system showing that the order was just put in 30 min ago. These people are lying and coving up the lies. Are you kidding me. Everyone in here knows we were here before them. The other black ppl just walked out upset bout service. I told Austin we are the only afro American in here why is the wait for us 2 hours and the Caucasian people were all served food before us even thought we was there first. He said well that's why the other black ppl left due to wait time. Yeah wait time at this location is AFRO AMERICAN WILL WAIT UNTIL ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE SERVED.This is what we waited 2 hours for. Suppose to be a skillet chicken meal roasted potatoes, broccoli, red peppers and something else and a fried chicken meal with broccoli and zucchini and squash. We also oder a chicken biscuit that we didn't get. This meal was not worth the money or time. I ask to get Corporate number but the Manager Austin said he only had personal numbers so lm out of lucky with talking to his boss. This place is not for Afro American there was another Afro American couple that left also because of how we were being treated here. Mind you while all this was going on there were 2 afro american employees there working. They acted just like the white ppl. Never spoke or ask us I'f we need anything. This was a mess. I love Denny's but will have to leave the chain. This is a sad time in the world when your color decides if you will be eating first or last. No matter what time or when you sat down. Will be call Corporate to send them pictures and ask for a refund on this horrible service. This was suppose to be dine in but we ask for them to make it to go due to the wait and horrible service from them. The really sad part is my money is green just like there is. Had to seat ourselves about 10 minutes later the server Amber comes to our table to bring silverware and menus didn’t say hello nothing, she didn’t even ask what we would like to drink. My mom then proceeded to tell her what she wanted to drink out of coke so she ordered water with lemon she brought back water then told my mom they were out of lemon. We ordered our food it was brought to us the only thing that was semi warm was the pancakes my moms omelet wasn’t barely warm my grand slam was just awful bacon was hard and cold it tasted old when I took a bite I asked for fresh bacon they came back 30 seconds later With a plate of the same bacon and it was barely warm. I asked for the manager and she came to the table and asked what was the issue and I started to explain but she could care less so I just stopped and said don’t even worry about it I can see I’m just wasting my time and she as the MANAGER said okay and walked off. Didn’t apologize or even offer to make some real fresh bacon not some microwaved old bacon y’all had sitting there. I’ve never had a worse experience at a restaurant. I definitely will never return to that dennys. From the food to the service is was just awful had two sides of bacon some eggs and had brown and two pancakes and well as my moms omelet e we’re going to take home and give to our dog so we asked for a couple to go boxes the server brings ONE box to fit everything. Read moreMy son had a scheduled interview at 14:00. He developed his resume, prepared himself, and showed up 10 minutes early. He was inside for 1-3 minutes then returned to the car alleging the manager (Aaron) said it was a hiring freeze and to come back next week.
I called the manager and asked if corporate provided him a notification of interviews. He replied “I got an email”. I stated if you knew of the interview why not notify the applicants so time isn’t wasted. Customer service and high quality management is essential to company success. Attention to detail matters and being considerate matters. I stated the interview could have been conducted since it was scheduled, the candidate arrived ready, and it was only scheduled for 15 minutes. Aaron could have explained, “We are on a freeze however we will complete the interview and keep your application on file. If we wish to advance your application in the hiring process after the freeze, we will notify you.”
Naturally, once I made this point, he hung up on me and had a young lady answer when I called back. I’m concerned this “freeze” may be false and discriminatory as the job posted on Indeed only 5 days ago, they have several open positions, and their is an enormous (and I mean enormous) sign adhered to a restaurant window.
