I like to visit small local diners and this one was really great. Hamburgers could be a bit juicier but other than that no complaints on the food. Being my first time here I ordered a nice mix or stuff including multiple appetizers. Everything was just as expected from a local dive and I say that in a good way. They do allow smoking but since I’m not a crybaby I didn’t care. Takes me back to the good ol’ days when an establishment could allow smoking and customers could have the freedom to choose if they wanted to eat there or not. What a concept. The waitress was quick to take my order and refilled drinks when getting low. Boxed up leftovers quickly and brought out the check when I asked for it. Great service. Yes we were caught off guard by the cash only policy. We were ok but a couple people in our group of 10 had to hit the ATM at the downtown bank. Our server was great throughout our meal. Brought out menus and drinks right off. Split up our orders and got them all right. Had our checks when we finished. Our food was good and just as ordered for adults and kids. I don't know where else you can eat for prices like theirs. So many locals in there greeting each other was nice to see. Not an empty table in the place. Get there by 9am on a Saturday morning. First of all, be aware this is a SMOKING restaurant. There are 2 or 3 tables that are non-smoking and those signs did not control the air pollution at all. There were no vents to remove the smoke, just one big room. We should have left at that point we realized it, but we'd already been seated and ordered drinks. The food was okay. Our waitress was quite literally about 8 years old, but she hustled and did a great job. Collectively everyone at our table all agreed this was our one and only visit here.
