Stowaway's Town Tavern — Restaurant in Bucksport

We were so excited to try the newest resturant in town and brought a friend with us. The prices were the first thing that turned us off, but we all thought it must be top notch if their charging that much. We were wrong! The hostess had apparently woke on the wrong side of the bed and was rude from the start. The $15 margarita was made with the cheapest tequila and tasted terrible. The salad forks on the table to eat dinner with were an insult and when you have an item on the menu you need to clearly state what's in the food. Our appetizer arrived with bleu cheese on it which not everyone likes...no mention of it on the menu! Also, someone needs to do some training of the wait staff! My husband's meal arrived first and our friend and I sat watching him eat until he was almost done before mine showed up...clearly not what I had ordered! Knowing the mistake they made on mine we clarified our friend's order. By the time my husband was finished, her order came out and eventually my "corrected" order showed up...still wrong! At that point we decided enough was enough and I left having eaten nothing. They did take my meal and appetizer off the bill, but does that really make up for a terrible night out??! I know they are newly opened, but they had a restaurant previously so they should have a clue what they are doing. Waitressing 101...never bring out the tables order until it is complete! Cooking 101, plan the dinners to be done at the same time and READ the orders! For the price they are charging they should have better service, correct orders, enough silverware to go around and a menu that states exactly what you're getting. We will not return to give them a second chance...hope they can figure out how to fix their issues or they...

So very disappointed. I ordered fish and shrimp with crabmeat stuffing and ff. I got fish one shrimp and darned if I found any crabmeat but not to worry it was PLENTY salty. No FF but rice and corn instead. Husbands FF were barely cooked ( wet noodles ) to top it off lava cake and cheese cake not even in the bag !!!! Do I want to come back and pick up desserts. NO. I want a credit. Not sure we can do that. For $92.00 I had higher expectations. I should have stuck with the sub shop...

We went to Stowaway's for dinner tonight and had the absolute best service! Kim is attentive and incredibly kind. She went out of her way for a bit of an odd request that I had and completely made my day. Not to mention the food was very good, as well....
