Baker's Pizza Sports Shack ( Bucyrus, OH ) — Restaurant in Bucyrus

We've traveled by this place many times in the past 3 years but never stopped. We were looking for a good place for lunch, and this came up on Google period when we got there. It was about 1:30 pm, and there was a line out the door. I knew we had picked the right place. It was busy but I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes to get seated. They got our drinks right away and took our appetizer order within the first 10 minutes of being there. After that, we ordered our lunch .

For the appetizer, we got ordered cheesy bread. It was absolutely phenomenal. And the marinara sauce was just as good. Maybe some of the best I've ever had, and I've had a bunch!

Then the pizza came out. I opted for the little Italy, which had meatballs, sausage and peppers on it. It was absolutely terrific. I ordered the personal pizza and it was just right for lunch .My wife got the double pepperoni special, and she couldn't believe how good it was either.

My only regret is we haven't stopped in here sooner. We will definitely be back again again. Great food, great atmosphere. And before I forget, the waitress was absolutely wonderful as busy as it was. She still kept up...

I don't have e a problem with the workers. I ha e a problem with the owners and the lack or responding to my emails and my Facebook chats. So I guess they want this review, I tried not to do this. We got their Buffalo chicken pizza and bakers fries. The pizza had so much Buffalo sauce on the pizza you could barely see parts of the pizza, the onions had am off putting taste and texture, and you couldn't even taste the ranch that was supposed to be on it or the cheese. With all of that being said, for the price we still ate it.... we spent $67.00 on this and live 25 minutes away. Then regret hit, the next day my husband and I took turns going to the bathroom with diarrhea and vomiting....we had food poisoning!! We spent all weekend sicker than I have ever been sick!! I emailed them, I contacted them on Facebook messenger and no reply, all I can do now is call them and if that doesn't work, I have another plan. We will NEVER RETURN!!! Read the reviews from the past, this is t the first time this has happened at this...

As a regular customer it's easy to become complacent to the service or to develop an expectation because of the familiarity of the place. We love Bakers! Always have! However, this trip was less than pleasing.

We met some friends that were passing thru town heading to bike week. We sat at the bar, on the end near the kitchen and waited. And waited......until finally the server behind the bar asked if we wanted drinks etc but was just unfriendly and noticeably bothered. It was 430 so the dinner rush had yet to start and the place was moderately busy. Our whole experience was the "wait" game, while the server stood behind the bar and basically shot the bull with folks and dismissed us. Near the end all I commented was that we would have liked a couple more beers but we were out of time and her response was "oh well".

Sometimes I get the feeling that they think that since they are basically the only player in town that we are stuck with whatever they wanna dish out......I hope that this is...
