Before you place an order here, please be aware that this pizza place does not take responsibility for its own mistakes. If I could, I’d give them zero stars instead of one.
I ordered my pizza today at 9:30 PM and picked it up at 9:57 PM.
During my previous order, four garlic sauces were missing, so I called right away. The server who answered the phone at that time apologized and said, “I’m sorry, I’ll leave a note so we can make sure to give it to you next time.” I assumed it was just a simple mistake because they were busy and decided to let it go.
However, when I visited again today and mentioned it, the current server said there was no note left, so she couldn’t give me the sauces. When I asked, “I called last time and was told a note would be left — why isn’t it there?” she said, “I wasn’t the one who answered that call, there’s no note, and the kitchen has already closed, so I can’t give you anything.”
When I asked, “So does that mean I can’t get a refund or the sauces I already paid for?” the server responded with a rude attitude, saying something like, “That wasn’t my call, so why are you telling me this?”
What I can’t understand is if a customer experiences an issue caused by the store, shouldn’t the staff at least check with the manager to find a solution? Why should the customer take the loss for the restaurant’s mistake?
When I first entered for pickup, the server was busy counting money, didn’t greet me, and simply handed me my order with no eye contact or acknowledgment — that was also very unpleasant. Is this really the level of hospitality Koreatown Pizza trains its staff to provide?
If the restaurant can’t properly handle a simple pickup order during business hours, it’s better not to accept orders that late in the first place.
I’ve been a loyal customer of Koreatown Pizza since the days when it was Mr. Pizza in LA. I’ve always spoken highly of this place and recommended it to others, but after today’s experience, I won’t be returning again.
Owner should properly train their staff in basic customer service (attitude) before letting them handle customers and most importantly, stop expecting customers to take responsibility for the store’s...
Read moreIf there’s a pizza that could humble both an Italian nonna and a starving college kid, it’s "The Kinsley" at Koreatown Pizza CO. in Buena Park. This place has been one of my regular spots for a while now. My wife (who’s way pickier than I am) and I both agree: it’s easily one of the best places around — not just for pizza, but for any meal. Huge flavor, big portions, fair prices, and easy parking. That’s the dream combo, and this place nails it. Located in a chill little shopping center off the 5, there’s always free parking and zero stress. We usually do takeout, but dining in is just as good. The service is friendly, the food’s consistent, and they absolutely deliver on value. Flavor only goes so far if your wallet’s hurting — but here, you get both. This is one of the rare places where the food and the price tag leave you satisfied. The headliner is "The Kinsley" — a pizza with bulgogi beef, sweet potato crust, and a full fried blooming onion in the center. It sounds wild, but it works. Two slices and we’re stuffed. One pizza easily gives us two or three meals. The Surf & Turf pizza is also excellent, and don’t sleep on the Korean nachos — ridiculous in the best way. We’ve never had a single thing here that wasn’t a knockout. At around $32 for a pizza that feeds two people for multiple meals, it’s one of the best values out there. I’ve spent more on sad lunches in Hollywood that left me hungry. There’s a second location in LA Koreatown, but this Buena Park spot is clean, easy to get to, and always delivers. Did I mention the parking? Because yeah — it’s worth saying again. All in, I give Koreatown Pizza Company a 4.8 out of 5. That’s about as high as I go, because a full 5 stars would mean the pizza came with Dodger playoff tickets. But this place? It...
Read moreI visited Buena Park today specifically to try their Kingsley pizza and kimcho kimchi nachos, and they did not disappoint! The Kingsley was absolutely worth the trip — loaded with well-marinated meat, cheese, corn, blooming onion and a variety of other flavorful toppings. The highlight was the crust, which had sweet potato built in, adding an extra layer of flavor to every bite. It was cooked to perfection, not too crunchy and not too soft.
The kimchi nachos were equally impressive and far from being an afterthought. They were loaded with quality ingredients including avocado, meat, eggs, generous amounts of kimchi, and other toppings that made every bite delicious.
The service was outstanding — quick, friendly, and attentive. They even checked in to make sure we were enjoying our meal and brought extra napkins without us having to ask, which is always appreciated.
I highly recommend this restaurant! I’m visiting from across the country and stumbled upon this gem while exploring California, and I’m so glad I did. You’ll...
