This wasn't the shop I intended to try, but it was a pleasant surprise. From the outside it looks like a diner and although I guess it kind of is, the menu is more of a coffee shop/Cafe. I rarely like places in strip malls because they feel very bland, but that's where the surprise came in, it's not your typical strip mall, cookie cutter eatery, it has plenty of charm and value. The service is friendly and personal, although most interactions were very quiet and not especially engaging but still professional. The prices are fair but the freshness was above average. The salads I ordered were fresh but also well balanced and enticing. They didn't just throw food on a plate, it looked like it had been plated with care. The latte I ordered was excellent as well, it had a nice balance of flavors. The decor was bold including the wallpaper which initially had me nervous I was entering an outdated restaurant but I was quickly put to ease when I saw the murals and the equipment behind the counter. I liked it so much that I brought my wife for a date. It's about 45 minutes from our home and she loved it too. I often work while at coffee shops and they had enough space for me to work and not get rushed out the door. Definitely a cafe I will visit again.

My wife and I have been visiting this lovely little cafe every Wednesday for two years to hear the folk music group "Vamp til ready". We have eaten breakfast there a few times, too. Breakfast is served throughout the day, so I've had their Greek omelet for lunch several times. Their Southwest grilled chicken wrap is my favorite. I like it wrapped in a chipotle tortilla. It is only slightly spicy. Since I'm a pescatarian, I sometimes get their salmonburger or salmon salad. They also offer seasonally a shrimp salad which is fine. They offer three soups daily, all of which are delicious. If you are furnishing your house, you may wander in the Colonial American home furnishing and builders supply store which is attached to the cafe. The "DC" stands for "Decoration Center". The cafe has an espresso maker which produces great espresso and multiflavored cappuccinos, hot or frapped. DC has a large selection of ice cream flavors from the Penn State Creamery from which they make all the favorites--old fashioned milk shakes, sundaes, banana splits, etc.

I recently visited this restaurant's drive-thru and was impressed by the delicious food and exceptional service. I ordered the turkey focaccia panini, which came with Miss Vickie's sea salt kettle chips and a side of pickles. The panini was absolutely delicious and satisfying, and the chips and pickles were a perfect complement to the meal. To quench my thirst, I ordered an unsweetened green tea that was incredibly refreshing and enjoyable. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

I was there in mid-late May for the first time (been at the lovely Decorating Center before, but never DC Coffee), and they were decorated beautifully with florals (even the outside by the drive-thru had flowers and an area to eat outside, but it was raining this day), and had soft/soothing music playing (I think they said the Escape Sirius XM channel at that point?).

I was by myself, (also cushy chairs by the fireplace to sit in as well!) but it would great to even take a date there; it's almost as nice as a fancy restaurant. As others have said, a lot of great and unique offerings like various salads, sandwiches/wraps, and a lot on the breakfast menu.

Would make an awesome time to shop at the Decorating Center and then...
