I want people to take this with a grain of salt since they are relatively new but there were some opportunities on our first visit.
We called to ask if they do take out and they said "I think so" and we asked about their menu and said we would call back. 4 times later before they answered we connected. It appears we found two different versions of their menu online which created confusion.
We ordered 6 kids meals and 1 was a hot dog, which was on one version of the menu, but not the current one. No one said they didn't have those anymore. So, we went through the whole order and they said 40 minutes.
Fast forward 40 minutes later and they had 4 burger kids meals but not the chicken strip one (which was on the menu) and not the hot dog one since they no longer carry it. They just hadn't made those two. So, I called home to find out what my child wanted instead and then they made him another hamburger one. It didn't take forever which was nice but they forgot the apple juice and I had to have them do those even though we included that on the original order.
Overall the food was okay, but unfortunately cold now since we had to wait for them to make more food.
The burger I ordered was the same size as the kids and had the same amount of fries, it just didn't have a drink. I could have ordered another kids meal and saved money and gotten more.
Overall, I think you get a better value at Hometown Eatery but they were closed.
Overall, not bad, but they need some more work in training and coaching on the menu, and the adult portion sizes should be larger than...
Read moreI ate here several times. Very middle of the road place. Overall impression is disappointing. Service is inconsistent, sometimes it was good, others not so good. This includes when it was dead. The overall vibe I think is missing some pieces as it feels a bit all over the place to me. The food needed more combos (especially breakfast) I had to order like 2 additional a la carts to get what I wanted. Everything was a good temp, my main thing about the food was that it was bland. It needed seasoning. The French toast for example felt like eating bread with egg on it. It lacked cinnamon but of vanilla extract and some sugar to it. Was just boring. The burger I got, was severely under seasoned as well. All in all, it got the job done in filling me up. Only problem, with prices the way they are, you expect food purchased to be worth that cost. Here, sometimes it feels that way, unfortunately it is not more often. So, if you’re looking for ok food, this is the place, but don’t expect it...
Read moreThe Eastside Diner has a great staff with excellent service. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured our food arrived quickly. Speaking of speed, the swift service was a pleasant surprise, making Eastside a great spot for a quick meal. However, the food itself was a mixed bag. While it was alright overall, there's definitely room for improvement, particularly with the 'East mess dish.' This dish was overwhelmingly potato-heavy, which overshadowed the other ingredients. A more balanced mix would enhance the meal significantly. Price-wise, the diner is reasonable. The dish sizes are on the smaller side, which aligns with the pricing. It's a fair value for what you receive. The ambiance inside the diner adds to the experience. It has a great vibe that complements the...
