Bailey Seafood — Restaurant in Buffalo

My tasting experience started on a cool Saturday in July. Upon waking from my restful slumber, I admittedly had a deep hunger lust for lobster. More specifically a lobster boil. Like many, I tried to drown out this notion with some second rate coffee and a marmalade infused scone from my local coffee shop. As you can imagine, the scone did not dampen my craving for butter soaked and magically seasoned crustaceans. Alas, there was nothing I could do but try to trudge on throughout the day as the open sign would not be illuminated for many more hours at the church of seafood. As I meandered throughout my day completing many of menial tasks, I could only focus on the oceanic bounty that awaited me. I rolled the hungry man dice and skipped lunch. At the time, I was afraid this may be a bit of a stumble and push my hunger pains beyond what any mortal man could withstand. As you may have guessed, I did in fact survive. Fasting for lunch only increased my NEED for the seafood boil. At 2:17 I found myself on the corner of Bailey and Lasalle staring through the front window of the buffalo seafood sanctuary. As I puzzled on whether to get extra crab legs or lobster claws, I noticed the staff feverishly preparing the fresh delivery for todays banquet of culinary joys. As the clocked ticked forward to 2:50, a handsome chef in a white apron looked at me through the glass and gave me a subtle but heart warming nod. Right then and there I knew he was going to relieve my abdominal suffering. At 2:59 I was greeted by the nicest seafood restaurant staff in existence, as they welcomed in the temple of taste. I was half way to the counter ready to place my order when it happened. My brain finally processed the smell. That glorious smell! The spices, the butter, and all the different seafood; my knees buckled and I stumbled almost hitting the floor. Like the hand of god, a Mike who turns out to be that handsome chef steadied me and prevented my tumble. Finally I was at the counter. Then I felt like Ralph from the Christmas story when he finally met Santa. I forgot my order!!! I went blank! My brain became void! I don't know if it was the intoxicating smell of the food or kindness of a stranger protecting me from a fall but I was blank. As I stared into the eyes of the lovey lady ready to take my order, she patiently smiled back at me and said take your time, we have so many good options it can be overwhelming. And just like that... I knew what I was getting I started with a seafood boil. All the goodies, 1lb of shrimp, 1lb of mussels, 1lb of mini clams, 2 crab clusters and 3 lobster tails done in garlic butter sauce and extra corn. I also added a homemade Peach Cobbler. I feel that was a necessity as I did forgo lunch. In conclusion, I will summarize the taste explosion as nothing less than biblical. My taste buds were born again as every bite proved to be better than the one before it. If in your future travels you find yourself near this fine establishment, I do recommend you stop in for a life changing, out of belly experience. THEY DO NOT WEAR GLOVES WHEN PREPARING FOOD THEY DO NOT WEAR GLOVES WHEN THEY PICK YOUR FISH UP TO GIVE TO THE COOKS TO BE DROPPED IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES ALL THERE FOOD IS FRIED WITH THE SAME GREASE THE OWNER IS RACIST TOWARDS ITS EMPLOYEES AND SHOW FAVORITISM TOWARDS EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE WORLED THERE LONGER THE MANAGER YELLED AT A WOMAN WHO WORKED FOR THEM BECAUSE SHE SPLIT A CHECK AND THEY’RE COMPUTER SYSTEM ALLOWS YOU TO DO SO THE MANAGER POSTED A NOTE FOR EMPLOYEES IN THEIR BREAK ROOM STATING THAT “ALL CHECKS MUST BE CASHED AFTER YOUR SHIFT EVEN IF IT IS PAYDAY YOU MUST WORK FIRST IN ORDER TO RECIEVE YOUR PAYCHECK AND SORRY FOR NOT UNDERSTANDING“ I TOOK A PHOTO OF THE NOTE BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEE SHOWED ME THE NOTE THAT WANTED TO CASH THEIR CHECK ON FRIDAY WHICH IS EVERY PAY DAY FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES THIS IS A FORM OF ENSLAVEMENT THERE IS A MANAGER THERE BY THE NAME KRASI AND MIKE THEY DISRESPECT AND YOU USE MILITARY TACTICS ON THEIR EMPLOYEES THEY SPEAK NEGATIVELY ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES TO CUSTOMERS THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND DESENSITIZED PEOPLE OT BAFFLES ME HOW A PLACE LIKE THIS ISNT UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR HOW ITS RAN AND HOW UNSANITARY THIS PLACE IS THEY FORCE YOU TO LISTEN TO THEM WITHOUT SEEING YOUR POINT OF VIEW AND TELL YOU AS THE CUSTOMER HOW YOUR GOING TO SPEMD YOUR MONEY I DISAGREE WITH THEIR METHOD THEY ARE CARELESS INDIVIDUALS WHO OVER CHARGE AND OVER PRICE ITEMS THE BUSINESS DID NOT USE TO BE THIS AND IT SHOULD BE SHOULD DOWN FOR HOW THE NEW PEOPLE ARE CONDUCTING IT IM IN UTTER DISGUST AND WILL NOT EAT THERE AGAIN THE PEOPLE WHO WORK WILL GUVE YOU FREE FOOD FOR TIPS AND THE FOOD ISNT ALL THAT GREAT THEY BARELY SEASON ANYTHING BUT THE SEASONED HADDOCK AND COLLARD GREENS BEST COOK THERE IS CURTIS THEY WATCH THE EMPLOYESS LIKE PET DOGS HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THEM WHAT SO EVER HORRIBLE SERVICE AND COOK...

After driving an hour round-trip worst experience ever! On top of waiting for an hour and a half for the food, I then find out it had been sitting on the counter for over an hour ready.. I asked if everything was there I was told it was, not only do I get all the way back to find out there is no fish at all, it is handwritten that the fish part of the order was refunded but my receipt still says my credit card was fully charged. The whole point of coming there was for the fish by your horrible customer service it ruined the opportunity to experience any type of fish or me willing to consider giving you an opportunity to steal more money ! Great way to ruin someone's couples Friday night dinner! This is definitely not the experience I remember growing up and I will be looking for elsewhere to take my business before I ever give you all a second thought at another chance! The fact that online didn't say it was out, AND no-one told me when I was there, even after I specifically asked if the entire order was there, and allow a customer to be charged for something you do not have, kind of feels...
