Lloyd Taco Factory — Restaurant in Buffalo

The design of this place is amazing, and the fact that they have a super cool, fully loaded bar, is what makes this a stand out. I will say something heretical- but I am not a big fan of the regular tacos. I absolutely hate cabbage, and having that substitute delicious, watery and crisp lettuce, I cannot abide. I know this detail is what makes people go over the moon for Lloyd’s, but I never understood it. What they do that I think is brilliant and different, is the lime wedge with almost all everything, and the pickled red onions. I am a fan of the nachos (this is what I always get) with a nice scoop of guac along with it. It’s got all the tangy surprise, without the cabbage. I also get the imported Coke in a bottle, which is a treat when I go out. I love that you can see the tortilla machine when you wait in line to order- I have an affinity for industrial food machines, so I am always on the lookout for ‘seeing how the sausage is made’ so to speak. The place is always crowded and I always have to wait in line- which I like. I enjoy a thriving place that’s always bustling with people- it keeps the food fresh when it’s super busy. The bathrooms are designed cute, but the door locks are tricky. On my last trip there I couldn’t tell if the lock was closed, and as a result, was walked in on. I was just washing my hands, so it wasn’t a big deal, but that was a little awkward. They do have a changing table in one of the bathroom, and they have nice high chairs- a big plus for me. The lloyd walk-in restaurant is definitely not a sit down and be comfy for an hour while you eat four courses type of place. And I expected that walking In the door.

It's very interesting visually lots of cool lights and decoration, including the graffiti (some by choice and some by patrons)

The kitchen is pretty open so you can watch them prepare your food. Always a plus!

The seating is utilitarian and gets it done.

There is a bar and a TV projector playing sports, which looks like a few beers on tap and lots of spirits and mixed drinks.

The Carne asada was quite good. We got a burrito and a bowl, both very good.

The bathrooms are both genderless.

The one I chose was surprisingly clean.

The toilet was spotless, not a single pee stain or skid mark! It's pretty impressive for a taco joint. Way to go lloyd

There were no messes or paper all over the floor.

The sink is interesting it's just a spring button that gives you a few seconds of water flow.

There is a baby changing station it was spotless. I wouldn't mind changing a baby there if I had to.

The back of the door had some graffiti and stickers but nothing vulgar that you would have to explain to a child.

There is a cool pipe that you put bottles down in the dining room.

I've been trying taco places all over lately, and this one is great

The parking well is another story it's Hertel, the parking sucks. If your lucky, you're walking a block or two.

Prices are good the servings are big...

This place is the best thing running on DoorDash in buffalo. Man oh man do I love lloyds. My favorite place to get a quick bite in the few years I have lived in and around Buffalo. I assume the only people reading this are out of towners, like how I was before I moved here. Well let me just tell you folks some of my favorites. You MUST try a dirty south burrito or taco (burrito is the smarter choice you get so much more) but this creation is a take on the classic chicken and waffles dish. You have Fried chicken, waffle pieces, baby kale, bacon aioli, (ask for extra bacon aoili!!) a little stream of maple syrup ,and their rocket sauce. I know what you’re thinking is maple would be weird on a burrito /taco. I have two words in response: TRY IT. I never use the mild sauce but the 50/50 and rocket hot sauce along with the bacon aioli, when those two mix together MAGIC happens. I never thought I would like kale. I like as many veggies as a child but I honestly do not mind it here, it actually gives depth to the burrito/taco. I can’t believe I spent so much time on the dirty south burrito in this review lmao. I’m so passionate about this place people are going to think I work for lloyds reading this . I do not. 😂 another thing I highly recommend is the cracked potatoes. My only complaint is they don’t make a larger size!!! Churros here are on point. I can also co sign their braised beef and roasted pork as grade A also! Damn I love...
