Fantastic pub with a nice atmosphere. My husband and I went there last night for a date. I cannot recommend this place enough. When we walked in, we were greeted by a boisterous Friday evening crowd. The first thing I noticed was the well stocked bar. It is a little cramped between the bustling wait staff and the patrons, but it's manageable to navigate. We made our way to the back area to put our name in for a table in the seating area, and then went up to the bar to get ciders while we waited. Their drink menu is fairly comprehensive - a good amount of beers on tap and bottled, wines, cocktails, sodas...you'll definitely find something to drink. While waiting for a table (about 20 minute wait) I saw parents with small children, so it's definitely family friendly. The seating area is fairly large with two distinct sections (a front area and back area). We were seated in the back. There was a large family (15 people or so) that night so I think if you call ahead, they'll have a seat ready for larger groups. Plenty of tvs on with hockey for the sports fans as well!
Onto the food. The menu is your standard pub faire- appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and fish fries. Sides included potatoes, potato chips, bacon, french fries, etc. You have the ability to order alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks and dessert as well (we skipped dessert though). My husband ordered the Monster burger (a burger served between two grilled cheese sandwiches) and I got the Beef on Weck. Our appetizer was an order of 10 medium spiced wings. Delicious food. The time between ordering and receiving food was an hour but we did go at the busiest time for food (6:30-8) so we expected a wait. Nonetheless, they didn't charge us for the drink I ordered, which was very nice.
Cost: ~$7 per cider, $19 for the monster, $12 for the Beef on Weck, $15 for the wings. We tipped 25% as well because our server was awesome and attentive even in the craziest time of the night. (Ally? I think?...I'm sorry ma'am, I cannot remember your name but you deserve a raise).
It was a lovely date experience and I cannot...
Read moreI rarely write a review lower then 4 stars because I am in the business. With that said we had a large table for lunch here and unfortunately it ended up being a two hour lunch. We had just come from a volunteer day for our company and we were all starving and tired so that didn't help. There was one server on and she did get quite slammed with a couple other large tables before we arrived. (We had called ahead) the issue wasn't even the length of time to get our order as much as it was how long it took to prepare it which was almost an hour. The food was decent and the server did her best to make sure we were taken care of. The only reason I am even posting this is because most of my party was quite displeased with how our lunch went and could not wait for it to be over. I don't feel this is the way things typically go here but if you are on a time crunch you might want to avoid for lunch if...
Read moreLooking for a cozy date night spot with a classic pub vibe and plenty of sit-down dinner space? I graduated from a college just around the corner and always thought this place looked so cute—I used to wonder what the vibe inside was really like. Fast forward to date night, and boom—this place came to mind!
The service was awesome, and everything we ordered was so fresh and flavorful. We started with the Galactic Cheese Bread, and let me tell you—we were still talking about that bread days later. Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken finger wrap (a favorite of mine), and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered wings and was thrilled—he said this spot is officially going into our regular rotation.
If you’re nearby and looking for great food, good portions, and a chill atmosphere, this place checks all the boxes. Can’t...
