Ms Goodies — Restaurant in Buffalo

I took my family to this restaurant it is a ALL BLACK OWN business, when i walked in the ladies was not as friendly and my server who must of been the sister or aunt had a bad attitude, then the elder who was the grandmother was a little rude. Other customers who came in was treated good because they knew them, my advice if u from out of town and not from Buffalo u get the worst service at this place. All the women was between 50-70 years old they had no customer service. The food was ok. Went there for the grits & shrimp but there attitudes made me take my food to go. To GOODIES if you want to stay in business and keep business besides the local people support TREAT EVERY ONE WHO walk thru the DOOR KIND LOSE THE ATTITUDE/LAZY NESS u gave off like u didn’t want to serve. Went here on a whim and boy was that the right call! Had the Fried chicken dinner ($13.50) which came with a whole half of a chicken and three sides. Also enjoyed a cup of kool-aid, because when in Rome 😅.

The chicken was delicious and juicy. Seasoned well and so big. The three sides I had were: Mac and Cheese, Yams, and Cabbage. They were all bomb!

Added a slice of thick cut Yellow cake with chocolate icing to top off the meal and that was definitely the second best call I made of the day (after choosing to eat here originally, of course)

The atmosphere inside reminds me of eating meals at my grandparents places for family gatherings/events and that was a perfect feel for this type of down home, soulfood...

Friendly and food is like momma’s kitchen. Staff is hilarious, which made the wait pleasurable. Be kind and people will be kind back. I wasn’t in a rush so I had time to enjoy the wait. Most of the time we rush and become inpatient, but when the waitress said, have you been waiting long…we said yes, her response, “gurllll sorry, but I’m in the back cooking I don’t like coming out front, but I will do my best.” Then the owner came and asked if we were okay and made small talk.
