There is always an issue the food is always good. I will give them that but thereâs always an issue in regards to items missing or simply just the customer service you have to order a hour and change plus and probably wait some more even when you get there they purposely will place you on hold knowing that is near closing just so they donât have to make your dinner. I was on hold for over 45 minutes to be exact and have screenshots of every single phone call the young kids there have no type of customer service or decorum will literally watch you at the door one kid asked if the guy sitting next to the door could open for a customer and he looked him in his eyes and said no now there was a button or something he could press as well if Iâm not mistaken but to have the audacity to do that to a customer infront of another customer is crazy the only one that was somewhat nice was the light skin, young lady and the short young man with the glasses, now I loved this place in the beginning but the more that you go to it the more you have issues if I order on DoorDash I will never get the extra cornbread at all now it does come quicker, but there may be things missing one time I even placed the pick up and I came back because my cornbread was missing and the young lady that was packing the orders even questioned her boss as if I was going to lie about a dollar and50 Cent piece of cornbread They have kids in the establishment and I honestly think that thatâs why their customer service in the ratings are going down sometimes having family and mixing business will not always be pleasure No one knows how to communicate with customers they talk at you and not to you and thatâs the issue. Iâm honestly so bummed out because that was definitely my favorite soul food place being that I just moved from down south, but with the customer service and the wait and it just always being something even one girl was on the phone with her mom arguing with the other employee every single time Iâm like you know what Iâm a forget it and try it again it always fails and the only reason I wonât return back is because the whole restaurant is almost family base. Everyone in there is some type of family related itâs a family, friendly related restaurant and my understanding meaning that their actions will never be corrected at all and they havenât been corrected because Iâve been going for months but yeah, just...
Read moreThis will be the first time that I am giving a restaurant 5 stars across the board. The opening time was 3pm and at exactly 3pm they opened the doors and were ready to seat all the people that were waiting. One of the owners Mrs juanita(spell check, please) came out and gave us a brief run down on the restaurant and made us all feel like we were at home. It took about 45 minutes to get the food, which is fast for a table of four and there were about 50 people in the restaurant. The owner served the food and came and was so personable and then her brother was helping clear the tables and engaging the customers. I love to see it a truly Black owned, Black ran, family operated business. Now let's get to the food, the restaurant is at the dead end of Crossman off of Genesee and I had to park at the end of the block and could smell the food from there. I had fried pork ribs with honey mustard sauce, spicy greens and yams, EVERYTHING was delicious and they didn't skimp on the portions. I like that the sides are served in their own containers so the juice from the greens and yams was contained and if you don't finish they give you lids for the containers. This food was so fresh and served hot as if I had stood at the stove and plated it myself. My friend had fried chicken and I could see the steam rising off it, she had Mac and cheese and yams. My other friend had pork chops(served as 2) with the spicy greens, yams and Mac and cheese and my other friend had cat fish, shrimp, Mac and cheese and spicy greens. They also had adult sulshies made like they wanted us to stay forever lol. This is the first restaurant where we met the owner and actually was served and cashed out by the OWNER. ALL THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS and hot and the atmosphere with the music at the perfect level making it easy to talk and still vibe was Devine. If you haven't been here I highly recommend you go at least 3 or 4 times to try all the different menu items. There's also a park with a small lake next to the restaurant you might want to take a little stroll on a nice day to walk off some of that good home...
Read moreIâve visited Park Vue Soul Food multiple times over the years, and while I genuinely love the food, the service consistently disappointsâso much so that Iâm finally leaving this review in hopes the business takes the feedback to heart.
One incident that still stands out is when my boyfriend and I placed an order and were told it would take about 45 minutes. No problemâwe were fine waiting for fresh food. But about 30 minutes into that wait, someone in the kitchen yelled that they were out of yams. Since we had ordered long before, we assumed we were safe. Twenty more minutes passed before someone finally came to tell us they were out and asked us for a substitution. That same scenario has now happened three separate times, including once via DoorDashâwhere they simply replaced the item without contacting us.
Today (Motherâs Day), we gave it another shot, understanding it would likely be busy. What we didnât expect was a completely disorganized experience. There was no clear signage or communication about where to line up or that they were offering a special $90 brunch for two instead of regular ordering. We waited 50 minutes just to speak to someone, and when we finally got to the front, the owner repeatedly broke away to talk to other guestsâskipping over us to speak to people behind us in line. When we finally asked about the $90 charge, we received no clear explanation of what it even included.
Iâm not writing this to bash the businessâI truly want to see Park Vue thrive. But at this point, after multiple frustrating visits, itâs clear there are ongoing service issues that need to be addressed: poor communication, lack of transparency, and inconsistent customer prioritization.
The food is worth itâbut the experience of getting it is not. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make some...
