First time here, and I have to say I was impressed. Only had time to place a to go order. The interior is very modern and has a clean appearance. Only thing that had me a little worried was the 84 health grade.
Upon getting home with my order, I noticed they put a piece of cardboard at the base of the paper bag for support. Honestly, I've never had that before from Chinese takeout and it's a very thoughtful move. Even the containers were of a high grade so nothing is spilling.
Now the food itself (sesame chicken and fried rice with fried dumpling appetizers on the side) was 100% fresh and absolutely delicious. The fried dumplings were not at all greasy! Yet, they were delectable. The egg roll that came with the meal was crispy and fresh. The sesame chicken was well cooked and evenly coated in sauce-no drowning chicken here. The fried rice was light and had a nice saturation of soy sauce.
The price is worth the food as I'm sitting here feeling full with NO worries of a tummy ache caused by excess grease. But until they get the health grade up, I'm pretty firm at...
Read moreChen's was recommended to us by the manager of another restaurant. Been aiming to go but today I decided to try Chen's for lunch. I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is great. It is clean and decor was very pleasant. The staff was very courteous and made sure my tea was always refilled. I ordered egg drop soup and it came out immediately after my drink. The soup was perfect. It was nice and hot, great flavor and not so salty that you could not eat it. The crab rangoons are made in house and delicious. I could make a meal just out of the soup and crab rangoons. However, you will not want to miss the entree because more deliciousness is just waiting to tantalize your taste buds. I had Mongolian Beef and it was marvelous.the beef and onions was cooked wonderfully and the sauce was not overpowering. You will want to try all the entrees as I will in future visits. I give Chen's a big fat Chinese food 5 because my whole experience...
Read moreWe have tried Chen's a couple of times now with mixed results. They are fast for delivery, but the quality is well below expectation. I ordered Mongolian beef, my daughter got chicken fried rice and my wife got a tofu dish. The Mongolian beef was awful. It had an off-putting smoked flavor that I can only compare to the smell of a candle when it is blown out. Almost an hour later and the taste is still in my mouth. The sauce was so watery that it was useless to flavor the food. My daughter's fried rice was another miss. The chicken was spongy and she wouldn't eat it. I tried it and I honestly can't believe it was chicken becuase the texture was like a hard boiled egg. The rice itself was almost unseasoned and resembled the fried rice you often get with an entree instead of a main dish. My wife's tofu was another miss. In her words, she is glad she tried it, but she wouldn't order it again. In other...
