My husband and I decided to grab dinner there, and honestly, from start to finish, it just wasnât it.
First of all, my husband ordered a burrito, and what came out looked nothing like a burrito. It was soggy, smothered in sauce, and completely falling apart, more like a sad enchilada than anything else. And then my plate⌠the rice was cold, hard, and clearly old, like it had been sitting out way too long or maybe even reheated from earlier in the day. Itâs one thing if a place is slammed and something slips through, but the restaurant was practically empty. There were only a few other tables occupied, so thereâs really no excuse for the food to come out in that condition.
What made it worse was the service. Our waitress seemed way more interested in chatting and laughing behind the bar than checking on us or any other customers. She wasnât rude, but she definitely wasnât attentive. We barely saw her after she dropped off our food, and it felt like we were just left to deal with everything on our own. No check-in to ask how things were, no refill offers (until after we were paying) nothing.
For the price and the promise of a decent meal out, this was a huge letdown. The quality of the food and the lack of service just made it feel like we didnât matter as customers. Sadly, we wonât be returning, and I wouldnât recommend it to anyone else either. There are way better Mexican spots out there that actually care about their food...
Read moreNice open layout with seating that can be arranged for any group size. Bartenders were very cool and drinks were strong. Our food came out fast and hot and everyone was friendly. The restrooms are clean and the establishment is really nice. Nice casual elevated experience. The free salsa With three different types of dip with chips was free which was cool. The tacos are higher per taco than at your neighborhood place but of course here itâs plated, The meat is very fresh and thereâs plenty almost to pull some meat off to take to go. The salsa wasnât wow, but it was fresh and decent. The food wasnât heavily seasoned. It was seasoned just right some would like a little more, but I was fine with it. The fish taco was good, my fish was fried a bit too long, but it was good. The Birria and beef taco taste the same, but there was plenty of meat and it was fresh. Wanted more toppings for it. The steak bowl was delicious although simple. Wanted more toppings. The prices were fair for what we got, parking was abundant. I would definitely recommend this place to others as I didnât have much to complain about. Maybe have vegan options, fresh fish options like snapper or grouper without shellfish, more fun appetizers ame side dish options and more...

Had a great experience at Frontera Mexican Kitchen in Buford recently and just had to leave a reviewâespecially to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jasmine.
We came in with a decently sized party, and from the moment we sat down, Jasmine handled everything like a pro. She was on point with the orders, super attentive without hovering, and had this calm, confident way of managing the whole table that made us feel completely taken care of. Drinks stayed full, food came out perfectly, and she even remembered little details from earlier in the mealâjust top-tier service all around.
On top of that, the restaurant itself looked amazing. The dĂŠcor was warm and welcoming with a really nice layout that didnât feel too crowded even though it was busy. The lighting, colors, and overall vibe just made it a great place to relax and enjoy the meal. You can tell they put thought into the look and feel of the space.
Food was delicious (as always), but it was really Jasmineâs service and the cozy, vibrant atmosphere that made the night memorable. Definitely recommend checking this place outâand if you can, ask for Jasmine F. Sheâs...
